St James' PCC has a vision "to be a living community of faith bringing God's love to each and every person and to be relevant for the whole community". This is achieved, alongside regular Sunday Services, by outreach into the town, outreach into schools, youthwork in schools and provision of baptism services, weddings and funerals to all who wish to use the Church for these services.

Three church services on Sundays with two or more additional ones on weekdays. Work with young people and with children, donations to overseas and UK charitable NGOs, work with the local community (e.g. primary school and special school and advice centres), educational work such as lectures and morning seminars.

The PCC maintains an overview of worship throughout the parish and puts forward suggestions on how our services can involve the many groups that make up the community of Milton. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer and scripture, music and sacrament.

The Parochial Church Council has the responsibility of co-operating with the Incumbent, in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish the whole mission of the Church (to know Christ and make Him known), pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical activities.

The primary source of funds is the giving of Church Members and tax recovered from Gift Aid and donations.Additional regular sources of income are hall lettings, fees for weddings and funerals, fundraising income from events, and interests on reserves

The church runs two services and a toddler group each week. There are other adhoc services and activities at different times during the year.

The Parochial Church Council is responsible for the work of the Anglican Church in the Parish of Heathcote. It is also responsible for the provision of church services and the maintenance of Heathcote Parish Church, Warwick.
