The Church is a worshipping and serving Christian community in our local area. We aim to incorporate as wide as possible an expression of activities from regular worship and praise and prayer to Bible study and community service.We provide pastoral care for those who seek it and attempt to reach out in mission and service to any who do not yet have an understanding of the Christian faith.

We are a CofE Parish in Horbury, Wakefield, West Yorkshire with 2 churches. Our Vision includes reaching out to the community and offering a friendly welcome to the Christian way of life. Operating @ "Lordswood Community Centre, Sandpiper Road, Southampton SO16 8FD". We are "advancing the Christian faith" by conducting regular Sunday services. We do this by giving information's to the people through church bulletins and "tracts/newsletter" and through website administrations. Also helping people in sickness through prayers and comfort and taking them to other service providers.

The Winchcombe Parochial Church Council is responsible for the administration and finances of the parish, together with certain appointments and functions as specified in the Parochial Church Council (Powers) Measure 1956 as amended by the Measure of 1969.

Running Sunday and Midweek church services, and seminars with proven ministers of faith to guide members in various aspect of Christian faith, Support for other charities and christian Event, Providing Overseas aid and famine relief, and Involving in economic and community development

Support of St Alban's Cathedral and the promotion of its dignity, traditions and influence, in particular by:1) providing a network to link members to the life and work of the Cathedral and Abbey Church.2) giving practical and financial support to projects which enhance the Church and its precincts and which are endorsed by the Cathedral Chapter.

Regular public worship, prayer, Bible study, preaching and teaching; Baptism, as defined by the Union's Declaration of Principle; the Communion of the Lord's Supper; evangelism and mission; teaching, encouragement, welcome and inclusion of all people; nurture and growth of Christian disciples; education and training for Christian and community service; pastoral care.

We Preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to bring hope to the hopeless and also assist them both socially, emotionally, finanacially and above all spiritually to meet the challenges of life. Educating and empowering lives with love of Jesus.
