Grace Gospel Church gathers for Worship, preaching the Gospel of Christ, Bible study and prayer and is involved in outreach to asylum speakers, giving practical help such as clothes and transport as well as spiritual guidance and friendship. The outreach is mainly to the Ethiopian and Eritrean community, but the church holds conferences that are open to anyone to attend.

The charity's principal activities continues to be advancing the Christian faith, relieving persons in conditions of need or hardship advancing education in accordance with Christian principles.

The charity is an evangelical church based in Birtley. The aims of the church are the proclamation of the Christian gospel and the nurture and development of the congregation to participate in this task.

The SWGP provides a Ministry Training Course based at St Bart's Church, Bath. This one or two year course aims to equip those who want to be able to teach the Bible and serve in ministry more effectively. The SWGP also co-ordinates a number of other events throughout the year, including the Bristol Men's Convention, Bible teaching and training days and youth-oriented events.
