Horsecastle Evangelical Church is a Bible-centred, family church looking to serve people. We are a church and part of the church of England. We operate in the Over area of Winsford and from the Over St johns church on Delamere Street. We offer services at the church as well as running a church hall with many community groups using the space.

The work of BCM involves holding children's clubs in churches, schools and homes and holding camps. The ministry also includes organising holiday clubs, taking school assemblies, playgroups, teaching and preaching engagements.

To promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the inhabitants of Uganda and other parts of Africa including the advancement of education, the relief of poverty, sickness or distress, the preservation & protection of health, and the advancement of religion.

We are committed to enabling as many people as possible to worship at HBC and to support people to live out their faith. This is done through Sunday services, worship and prayer, small groups, communion, fellowship, preaching and teaching as well as the provision of pastoral care for people within the church and community and mission within the community and throughout the world.

The Rev. Brian Attwell and his wife, Betty Attwell, are responsible for running the St. Andrews Childrens Home (Hogar San Andres) at Chosica, near Lima city, in Peru, South America. Over 30 abandoned, orphaned, and disabled children are being cared for in this home. Both short and long-term residential accommodation is provided for children, also medical care, food, clothing and education.

The Church holds 1 service of worship each Sunday, a weekly prayer meeting & small groups. Each week it runs a weekly Community Drop-in day, a CAP Job Club & supports the Trussell Trust Handsworth Food Bank. It partners with Age UK & other local Churches in the HDCO charity & with Community Chaplaincy, supporting probationers. It also runs clubs for children/young people including a Music Academy.

The church's object and principal activity continues to be that of the preaching of the gospel, healing and providing pastoral support for its members. The church is also conscious about giving to the community within which it is placed. This is achieved through outreach programmes to engage young people positively and giving towards good causes within the community (East London).
