The Garcia Family Foundation awards grants to charitable organisations or projects connected with the advancement of education, the arts or health (including the promotion of education in medicine and the medical sciences).

The objects of the Society shall be to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the artand science of music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals.

We run school's technology competition yearly. We hold engineering related talks in the winter period, September to April. We give award to Anglia Ruskin University top engineering degree student. We promote children taking STEM subjects.

The objects of the charity are to advance, promote, develop and improve the study and knowledge of vision sciences.It holds regular conferences and administers the Vision Scientists Memorial Fund (a restricted fund) to provide travel to conferences and bursaries for junior scientists working in this field.

The Society organises an annual series of lectures, usually held in Leicester New Walk Museum, for the advancement of education in Literature, Science and the Arts. It publishes proceedings and supports the museum. Natural History and Geology Sections organise further events. The Society has close links with Leicester, De Montfort and Loughborough universities and Leicester City Council.

We provide scholarships for talented under-privileged African science students to attend the London International Youth Science Forum, where they join 500 of the best science students from all over the globe learning from world leading scientists through lectures, debates and visits. This life changing experience inspires their careers in science which we support through our Alumni programme.

The Social History Curators Group (SHCG) exists to advance the education of the public in heritage, science and the arts by advancing standards of social history curatorship. We provide information, support and training to enable those responsible for caring for social history collections to use these collections for the public benefit and work to promote the importance of these collections.

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCH SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES.

Holds Church Services on Sundays and Wednesday where everyone is welcome.Holds a Sunday School every Sunday which welcomes everyone up to the age of 20.Provides a Reading Room for the public to study, borrow or purchase Christian Science literature. Sponsors public lectures on Christian Science.

The Orchestra promotes public education in the appreciation of the art and science of orchestral music in all its aspects by the preparation for and the presentation of public concerts.
