The mission of the Swallowtail and Birdwing Butterfly Trust is to conserve and protect members of the butterfly family Papilionidae.We do four things: raise financial resources; convene networks and partnerships; catalyse action; and provide scientific and technical support.

The Nansen Hill Recreation Ground is a Site of Special Scientific Interest which features valuable chalk downland. It is one of the best viewpoints on the Isle of Wight. The charity exists to manage this area.

Support of a restored industrial heritage working museum at the site of the Lion Salt Works in Marston, Northwich, which was the last working open pan salt works in the UK and is now a scheduled monument. Also education by the interpretation of the history of the site and former proprietors, the heritage of salt making in Cheshire and elsewhere, the science of salt and related products.

Activities will revolve around collecting data, implementing conservation strategies and surveying expert and public opinion. Activities for all will include participation in different citizen science projects - for example contributing to the reporting of specific genera to help with current recent objectives or the monitoring of biodiversity in a specific area.

These partner organisations plus the charities own horizon scanning allow the charity totake the best of what is on offer and make it accessible to beneficiaries.

To rescue, rehabilitate and release sick, injured and orphaned bats.To educate the public about bats, including science, conservation and rehabilitation, which may include use of the permanent licensed education bats.

(2) The relief of sickness and the preservation of health by provision of medical bags containing medications and equipment for use by medical staff. We collect books, computers, science and sports equipment for needy schools in Africa. In 2025 we will introduce exchange program to allow cross culture between UK and Africa schools. Also we will introduce social tourism to boost income to schools that we assist. Adults who would like to visit rural Africa to help schools will be encouraged to do so.
