Since the sad closure of the school in July 2010, the main focus of the charity is now grant making to other charitable organisations that support the Objectives and philosophy of Ovingdean Hall School. This includes the promotion and provision of high quality education for deaf children and young people whilst supporting their individual social, emotional and physical needs.

LBKA activities further the craft of beekeeping and raise public awareness of bees in the environment, achieved by regular meetings, an education programme, attending local science and countryside shows, providing educational talks/demonstrations to schools, gardening groups, and other local groups. We promote clinical research in Classical Haematology. The objects of the Durham Music Trust CIO are: To advance the education of the public, with a focus on children and young people, in the art and science of music in particular but not exclusively in County Durham and Darlington by raising capital and revenue funds to: 1.
