'Aid for Chinusu' is a small registered charity comprising four trustees, which was set up in 1992 with the object of relieving poverty in the village of Chinusu and the surrounding area, by providing humanitarian aid in the form of financial assistance and the provision of basic amenities, food, clothing and medical supplies.

It provides the following services: information and advice, education, health (HIV/AIDS) employment, immigration, welfare, translation and interpretation. Promotion of Congolese culture and teaching of mother tongue, hospital, prison and home visits. Collection and distribution of clothes, household and other essential items to new asylum seekers and refugees etc..

The business is a Community Hall used for the purpose of providing a venue for individuals/organisations to hold their particular events and charged by the hour. It is home to the Brandon & Byshottles Table Tennis Club, the 5th Durham Scout Group and a Bingo Group as well as hiring rooms to Slimming World, a Dance School, Integration Trust and the Durham Socialist Clothing Bank and Food Bank.

Annual events include a summer fete for all the school's pupils & families, a quiz night for parents and staff, a Christmas disco for the younger pupils, and a clothing exchange.

Our Charity supports poor and needy people of greater London area and in Pakistan. Our Charity supplies, basic needs clothes,shoes to poor, medical and relief items to poor and needy. We had trained 16 volunteers in past years. Most of those had found jobs. We had supported the poor children of Pakistan and Vietnam for education. We have religious activities in UK and Pakistan.

ABIGAIL PROJECT PROVIDES ASSISTANCE AS DEEM FIT FOR ADOLESCENTS, AGES OF 11- 19YRS WHO ARE 'ORPHANED"& UNDERPRIVILEGED; PROVIDING SHELTER, FOOD, CLOTHING AND EDUCATION IN SKILLS THAT ENABLE THE ORPHANS TO HELP THEMSELVES AND THEIR ENVIRONMENT.AREA OF FOCUS IS AFICAN COUNTRIES OF NIGERIA AND MALAWI WHERE THERE ARE ASSETTS AND VOLUNTEERS. PROJECT AIMS ALSO TO BUILD A CENTRE FOR THESE DEVELOPMENTS
