Help the elderly and lonely

To provide affordable community transport to organisations and inhabitants of Thirsk, Sowerby and District. Particularly those in need, including the young, disabled and elderly.

The charity provides minibus transport, complete with drivers, at low cost, along with their replacement, insurance, maintenance etc. 1) To Age Concern Shrops, Telford & Wrekin for their eight day centres in Shrewsbury. 2) To a large number of elderly groups, eg, church groups, MU, WI, stroke club, Shropshire Mind etc etc.

Provide transport and assistance for the elderly/infirm of the borough to attend medical appointments inside or outside the borough

To provide neighbourly assistance to those elderly, sick or disabled who do not have access to private transport and who live within the Denmead and Hambledon Health Centre catchment areas by means of:a. providing private car transport to hospital and medical appointments;b. providing shopping trips and community outings using the charity's minibus;

We provide transport for elderly people in seven areas surrounding the village of Twyford in Berkshire, to get to medically-related appointments.

Luncheon Club/Social Meetings and Provision of Transport for Disabled/Chronically Sick. For Elderly/Old Providing much needed social contact.

Provides transport for the elderly and unwell who are without means to attend hospital/doctor appointments

The Moorlands Community Minibus transport the elderly, disabled and anyone who needs transport around the Staffordshire moorlands. Visits to the doctors for appointments & prescriptions, days out shopping, luncheon club etc.

Provide a minibus service run totally by volunteers for the benefit of the residents of the Gosforth area, but also available to the wider Newcastle upon Tyne community, principally to help the less able and disadvantaged.

The Learning for Wellbeing project forms the basis for all our projects that build on personal and collective capacity and provide work placement opportunities for Nyabingi members, volunteers, university and college students. Activities includes counselling, therapeutic music sessions, gardening, learning courses, health awareness and living, cook and eat, women's group and community transport.

We provide community transport for the elderly and disabled using a specialised vehicle and operated by volunteer drivers and chaperones. The service is funded by gifts; fund raising activities by volunteers; grants from appropriate organisations.

The minibus driven by volunteers provides daily transport for the elderly & handicapped of Kinver village to various clubs and societies. It is used on Sunday to transport the elderly to church.

We work in rural communities in the Dominican Republic to create opportunities for everyone to stay in education (eg provide transport to secondary school), gain job skills, learn English, have access to healthcare and learn more of God's love for them. We also provide funding to Nazareth House children's home to provide care staff and education for the residents.

TO PROVIDE MINIBUS SERVICES IN AND IN THE ENVIRONS OF HARTLEY WINTNEY

Shopmobility is a scheme which lends manual or powered wheelchairs and powered scooters to members of the public with limited mobility.

Provision of a minibus with wheelchair access for the use of local groups affiliated to the Association, all of whom provide support for disabled and/or elderly people. The Association also supervises the training, testing and medical checking of the volunteer drivers.

PROVIDING TRANSPORT FOR THE ELDERLY & DISABLED WITHIN DISTRICT OF BROMSGROVE.

The Rainow Village Bus runs a Community Bus on behalf of the residents of Rainow and other neighbouring communiities. The facility is run by a group of around 10 volunteers. It is available for hire by all the charitable, voluntary, community and social groups in the local area.

We use our community minibus to help socially isolated older people in this very rural part of the North York Moors. Public transport is sparse and not easily accessible. We run outings to lunches, shopping, cinemas, theatres, concerts, coffee mornings, garden centres and other places of interest. In addition we have weekly swimming trips. These people are thus able to be part of the community.

The LADS is a group of some 20 Lustleigh residents who have volounteered their time to provide transport (using their own cars) for those residents who lack their own. All drivers are insured and the Association is covered by Publick Liability Insurance.

To promote the good physical and mental health of those living, working or receiving education in the area of benefit.The Charity provides transport, auxiliary medical provisions, disabled access and living modifications etc for the sick, elderly and disabled within the local community.

Provide relief and help to the people of Congresbury village and surrounding area, especially those who have need because of age, mental or physical disability, poverty or social isolation by providing and maintaining non profit making community transport services

Grants are made twice a year to Southolt Church, Village Residents, Local Community Bus, Parish Newsletter(s), East Anglian Air Ambulance, EACH - East Anglian Children's Hospice and others based on need including grants in support of the Village Environment.
