ERADICATING POVERTY, EDUCATING AND TRANING THE LESS PREVILEDGE PEOPLE OF THE COMMUNITY

Pudsey Community Project exists to transform Pudsey and its surrounding areas (an area of 20,000 households) with and for the local community, especially for those who are most vulnerable and disadvantaged. We do that through operating Pudsey Foodbank, Pudsey Community Pantry, Reduce Reuse Kids' Clothes, a weekly lunch club and youth and children's provision several times each week.

The principal activity of the charity is the advancement of the Christian faith and the practical outworking of that faith, with a particular focus in the local community of Birchwood and Hartsholme in Lincoln, providing activities for all ages, backgrounds and circumstances, and giving assistance and relief to persons in need or hardship.

The Charity provides almshouses for people who are over 60 years old, are of good character and in financial hardship. At the time of appication, the potential resident must reside within the Ancient Parishes of Pevensey and Westham. The Charity owns 6 almshouses in Westham and 2 in Pevensey Bay. When vacancies occur, these are advertised widely in the area of benefit.

Children' Aid are an international humanitarian and poverty relief charity delivering support and relief services to children in the UK and overseas. We work across a number of areas delivering food aid, water aid, medical aid, shelter, education, wellbeing and disaster relief services wherever they are needed most.

We offer a range of different services to help disadvantaged families in the community out of poverty. In particular, Black and ethnic minority women in who find it difficult to access mainstream services in their areas.In collaboration with partner organisations we deliver educational and health awareness projects.We establihed a link with Somaliland, Africa and delivered number of projects.

Activities include Christian Worship teaching and discipling in Christian Principles, Values and Ethics; Social and Community Outreach reaching out to the needy in our community; Meeting spiritual and welfare needs of the members and those in our immediate area; Supporting estalished local, national and international charity bodies; Reaching out to the poor in the identified countries - Kenya, etc

We rescue, treat, vaccinate and sterilise street dogs and cats and provide treatment and care to all other ill and injured street and wild animals. At our animal shelter in a rural and poor area of Rajasthan, India, we employ a large number of local Indian staff. We educate children and adults in all aspects of Animal Welfare. We provide free veterinary services to livestock animals.

Achieve Change and Engagement has built up a reputation for delivering quality work that makes a difference to the lives of young people and influences adult decisions. It has enabled young people to influence services and the work force to improve social inclusion of all young people and especially those with poor mental health.

The Trust aims to improve the lives of people living and working in Bournemouth, particularly the most vulnerable and deprived and those not achieving their full potential. It takes an independent, evidence based, long term view, seeks to reduce inequality and focus on prevention and ensure the community is able to influence decisions. The Ucare Foundation seeks to assist in relief and sickness, hardship and distress through medical and educational facilities particularly for the benefit of the poor in Pakistan and ethnic communities in UK.

The Bloomfield Learning Centre is an assessment and teaching unit for children and young adults with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties. We work primarily with children from poor socio-economic backgrounds whose families are unable to pay for specialist literacy teaching.

Lincoln Area DialaRide Ltd provides accessible and affordable transport services to those individuals who are disadvantaged by age and/or a disability. The organisation also operates a Shopmobility service that provides the loan of mobility equipment to assist those with reduced mobility in gaining access to the shopping precincts and other areas of interest within the City of Lincoln.
