Relief of poverty and isolation

We aim to relieve financial hardship in Liphook, Hampshire and the surrounding neighbourhood by distributing emergency food, essential toiletries and household items to individuals in need, signposting our beneficiaries when needed to other local agencies. Requests for help can be made via referrals from approved partners or personally.

THE AIMS OF THE CHARITY ARE TO ASSIST BY DONATION REGISTERED CHARITIES ESTABLISHED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, WELFARE AND RELIEF OF POVERTY PARTICULARLY AMONGST THOSE PERSONS OF THE JEWISH FAITH.

MMW UK works to empower socially and economically disadvantaged women and girls in Africa by supporting the establishment of innovative communications networks that connect rural women and girls--those beyond the reach of traditional media--with information and inspiration that enables them to be healthy, live safely, and fully enjoy their rights.

THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AMONG PEOPLE LIVING IN RURAL AREAS WITHIN SRI LANKA, PARTICULARLY (BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY) VICTIMS OF THE CIVIL WAR AND NATURAL DISASTERS, BY SUPPORTING THEM IN THEIR BASIC FOOD, MEDICAL, AND EDUCATIONAL NEEDS.

-To relieve poverty and financial hardship amongst people of Afghanistan and Farsi-speaking immigrants living in England & Wales.-To preserve Faris/Persian culture and heritage.-The advancement of Education for public benefit amongst, but not exclusively, for women/girls, in Afghanistan.- For such other charitable purposes as the Trustees may think fit.

Barnstaple Lions Club is part of the International Association of Lions Clubs. The members raise funds from the general public to support our charitable objectives by using these funds in the relief of hardship, support for our community, young persons and other charities. The Club considers international requests through our organisation for disaster relief and health improvement programmes .

To relieve generally, and individually, persons resident in Worcester City, who are in conditions of financial need, and hardship, by the provision of furniture and other household accessories, donated by the public, or acquired otherwise, which are calculated to reduce the need and hardship. Relief of poverty

The charity is principally a Christian organisation with religious activities carried out regularly. The christian community preaches the gospel of Christ and is pentecostal and apostolic in principles. It reaches to the poor in the community, help those in hardship and those needing social care. It evangelizes and support missionary activities in Africa

The main objectives of the church is toPromote theIndianOrthodox Christianfaith.Conduct regular Holy Eucharist Twice in a month and SpecialEucharist. There is a regular prayer meetings once every month and promoting Christian faith to the church community. Also arrange educational tour for the members of the church, especially for the youth and also Provide small financial helps to poor and needy.

Overseas: raising funds for development projects and emergency aid.In Devon, arranging holidays for disadvantaged families; providing toys for prisoner's children visiting prisons; knitting goods for the elderly and for still-born babies; providing goods for womens' refuges and prisoners, supporting rufugees. Supporting actions against gender based violence and modern day slavery.

The Trust continues to operate locally. Fields and allotments are in use. The Trust Cottages are fully occupied. Routine maintenance continues with local tradesmen employed. Improvements to the general standard of housing quality have been carried out on a planned schedule to conform to current standards. The Trust continuesto support disadvantaged residents and students within the Parish.

ASSIST DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN/YOUNG PEOPLE ACHIEVE POTENTIAL BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES. HELP TACKLE AND PREVENT CAUSES OF VIOLENT GANG CULTURE AND CRIME THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES AND OTHER CHARITABLE MEANS. AIMS ARE MET BY FUNDING ORGANISATIONS/PROJECTS, IDENTIFYING SYNERGIES BETWEEN THEM, PROMOTING LINKS AND EXCHANGE OF IDEAS/EXPERIENCE.

Advance the education of young people. Relieve financial hardship, either generally or individually, through the provision of grants/goods/services. Assist in the provision of facilities for recreation & other leisure time occupations for individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth/disability/financial hardship, to improve their quality of life.

Activities include regular public worship is provided free of charge and open to all. Other activities include:teaching and learning; taking assemblies; donations to other charities and our own projects provide public benefit in the relief of poverty and need, often for minority groups with particular needs such as the elderly.

The Trust's objects are: (a) to foster and promote medical and scientific research into the vast problems of human nutrition, (b) to foster and promote medical research generally, (c) the relief of poverty and (d) the advancement of education.

Eliminating clothing poverty, caring for the environment.We collect pre-loved and out-grown clothes, saving them from landfill and providing good quality, clean clothing to those most in need.
