Activities are aimed at the 10-13 age group and develop independence and self confidence. Sessions include 2 youth diner groups and a drop in youth club in the evening. There are targeted activity sessions teaching new skills, craft sessions, health and well being plus games and outdoor activities.Activities for those over age 65 are aimed at reducing isolation through a weekly friendship group.

Lunch Positive runs a weekly lunch club & community space for all adults with HIV.The service is delivered by volunteers, provides increased access to good nutrition, a safe and supportive space for people to meet; to find peer support, build supportive networks and reduce social isolation. Home-Start Birmingham Central and South-West is a voluntary organisation which supports families with at least one child under five through difficult times. Home-Start through trained parent volunteers offers befriending and emotional and practical support to families in the Bartley Green, Edgbaston, Harborne, Ladywood, Soho and Quinton wards of the city.

We offer facilities for worship and also outreach into the local community to combat loneliness, debt and poverty which is endemic in the area. We offer safe space and a warm environment for people to meet and enjoy fellowship.

We provide day opportunities for older people including those living with memory loss and other health issues. We are open 5 days a week and 1 Saturday a month with up to 20 people a day attending. Our main aim is to help prevent social isolation and give family carers a break. We also provide an outreach service to promote physical and mental wellbeing and companionship.

Our main activity is one to one befriending of isolated older people. We also do outings in our minibus which is our main expense. We hold several birthday parties a year and participate in a Christmas day lunch, all for isolated people.
