Afemai Children's Trust deliver cultural workshops to engage children and young people from all backgrounds. Their workshops develop understanding of different traditions and reduce isolation. Conveying diverse subjects, Afemai Children's Trusts' mission is to positively celebrate heritage and culture, and work with institutions that are keen to encourage a global outlook.

The charity provides the following activities. (1) Employability project:- for refugee women providing jobsearch skills, interview techniques information session and holding an open day. (2) Coffee morning:- to alleviate isolation and strengthen the social bondage amongst refugee women. (3) Homework club:- to equip refugee children with maths and english skills.

Empathy for special children works to reduce the social isolation and improve the lives of those growing up with ASD/High Functioning Disability/Additional Needs and their families. Established since 1993, provides multilingual counselling service to support emotional & mental health in a culturally -sensitive women-only environment; men supported from 4-8 pm. Offers: counselling internships and volunteer training opportunities; educational, cultural, and recreational facilities including performing arts to alleviate isolation amongst the elderly - Asian & BAME women.

The Unity Centre is a cafe/charity shop offering advice/befriending/hate crime support. Activities: karaoke, arts & crafts, Bang & Crash, wellbeing and Groove.Our Unity Youth Projects department runs The Fort, a gaming hub that specialises in improving social connectivity & life/social skills, through digital/IT-based & modernised projects & activities, such as card/board/video games, D&D & VR.

The Trust provides a wide and diverse range of activities for older people in Sawbridgeworth. Activities include quizzes, outings, keep fit, cooked lunches, cinema experience, chiropody, hearing aid support, art, I.T. training, whist, bingo, musical afternoons, poetry goup and the opportunity for social interaction aimed at avoiding isolation and depression among older people.

To alleviate the difficulties faced by people living in Harleston and the surrounding area, Harleston Information Plus Charity provides a one stop information centre, runs a local community website, provides a befriending service, advice to job seekers and a weekly jobs club. Flashy Wings Ministry therefore aims to prevent women on estates in Southwark from becoming socially excluded whist promoting togetherness and diversity and community spirit on Southwark estates. We have achieved these by running conferences (and providing an on-line information centre) for women (on issues such as team working, problem solving, negotiation skills, assertiveness and advocacy.

Family United is committed to tackling social isolation and loneliness within the MRU Community in the UK. This Community consist mainly of West Africans living in the UK. Our approach is to provide rounded support services to over 60s that are suffering or at risk of suffering from social isolation and/or loneliness.

To disburse community funds received from Wandylaw Wind Farm within Ellingham Parish, Northumberland. Funding is used improve communications through broadband and transport. These are both aspects to do with preventing isolation and rural poverty. The other areas of very high priority from a local survey were sustainability with renewable energies and improving the thermal comfort of homes.
