Letchworth Men in Sheds is a member of the UK Mens Shed Association. Our group operates in Letchworth and local area to provide a community workshop and meeting space to fight social isolation of those who are retired, unemployed or have health problems. A place for hobbies with emphasis on acquiring and sharing skills and supporting other community projects with practical help.

TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING OFFENDERS FROM BEING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE OFFENDERS WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, DUE TO EMOTIONAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL NEEDS, AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE BACK INTO SOCIETY, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF COUNSELLING AND THERAPY.

The charity promotes social inclusion for the benefit of the public among people from Hungary who are residing in the UK and who are socially excluded or at risk of social exclusion because of their social and economic background by assisting them to integrate into society.

Provide monthly contact for elderly housebound, with meal and opportunities for social contact. The Club has been running for 27 years and is run by volunteers.

Dereham Men Shed is an independent local charity, operating under the umbrella of the UK Men Sheds Association. The objective of our group is to promote social inclusion and help reduce isolation for the benefit of men in Dereham and its surrounding villages. This is achieved through working in partnership with other local groups to support our community and providing support to each other.

The charity exists to help people with learning difficulty and their families the aims of the Royal Society for Mentally Handicapped Children and Adults now referred to as Mencap ,are our base. Our main activity is providing a Gateway Club which gives social contact to disadvantaged people. Ages from 25-70.

SOCIAL CONTACT AND ENTERTAINMENT AT A FORTNIGHTLY CLUB MEETING. HOLIDAYS AND DAY TRIPS ARE ALSO ORGANISED.

The main activity is the organising and running of a befriending scheme to enhance the lives of those who, for whatever reason, are lonely and isolated and being excluded from social contact in the community.

Memory cafe meeting twice a month to support people with all forms of memory or dementia problems and their families and friends in the Henley in Arden and surrounding district; to alleviate isolation in the community and tackle loneliness.

The Kent Disability Support Foundation aims to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health issues and learning difficulties. To create more cohesive communities within Kent by raising awareness and acceptance. To reduce social isolation, increase life opportunities and offer recovery and support services to people with learning difficulties and mental health issues.

Relief of the physical and mental sickness of persons in need by reason of depression and domestic violence, in particular by the provision of counselling and support, including signposting to other services.Promotion of social inclusion by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those who are socially and assisting them to integrate into society.

To provide the residents of Dunmow with a friendship group so that they can spend time in the company of others. We meet for a social evening of games and live entertainment to provide physical and social recreation for our residents, promoting good mental health wellbeing and minimise risk of social isolation.

To promote the preservation and protection of good health, by helping to prevent people, particularly, men aged 18 or over within Colden Common and the surrounding area, from becoming socially excluded, through the provision of facilities in which they can meet to undertake creative, physical or recreational activities, learn or pass on skills and knowledge, and support each other socially.

Providing support to members of the local community of Sketty, who are lonely and isolated for any reason, through the provision of group activities such as lunch clubs and walking groups, and by signposting to other activities in the community which may be beneficial.

Sickle Cell and Young Stroke Survivors support the social and psychological needs of children and young people living with Sickle Cell disease and childhood Stroke in the UK. We proactively address the day-to-day needs of the children and their families to reduce isolation. We work mainly in England and are keen to provide free medical treatment and drugs to children in Africa.

To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by promoting the integration into mainstream society of people who are socially excluded on the grounds of their ethnic origin, religion, belief or creed, in particular in holding an annual awards ceremony which highlights the positive contribution such people are making to British society.

Provision of exercise facilities via a fully equipped gymnasium and dedicated weights room.Weekly circuit training classes.All our activities are led by fully trained and qualified volunteers and promote health and general well being and social contact.

Provision of media skills training to residents of Cheshire East and surrounding areas particularly to those who may be socially excluded and those seeking re-habiliation in to the community. We also provide work experience training to children from local schools and provide radio skills to local youth organisations in particular the i-macc youth club.

CORSHAM CONNECTIONS takes referrals of socially isolated individuals from health services, social workers and others. Volunteers connect them with local community groups, activities and services to reduce their isolation and improve their mental and physical health and wellbeing through greater interaction with others.

The Shadwell Youth Organisation is a youth and community group that act???s to promote the greater participation of socially excluded groups in education, sports and health activities within the wards of Shadwell, St Katherines and Wapping in Tower Hamlets.

Currently, our main service is our Befriending Service, whereby our members are carefully and personally matched to one of our volunteer befrienders, allowing a friendship to develop and regular visits to take place. In response to the pandemic, our service now includes the option to befriend by telephone.We also host a weekly coffee morning in Caistor and South Kelsey.

SUPPORTING IP3 RESIDENTS with shopping/collecting prescriptions/transport/a befriending service to lonely/vulnerable in person or by telephone, weekly Pop Up Shop, signpost for debt/employment advice. Referrals via Warm Handover facility, Salvation Army, Citizens Advice, social prescribers, local churches or IP3 GN volunteer/Trustees. Links with Community Action Suffolk, local and county councils.
