Play School and Social Activities

Edington Chapel is a Church which is used for Christian religious activities, particularly for worship services, on Sunday morning and evenings. It encourages friendship and fellowship, support for the needy, training, Christian education and support for missions. We have clubs for children of the church and local community; Coffee mornings; special events; and care for the sick & elderly.

We produce, one musical show in May and one Play in November. We may occasionally put on another short show or review. We have other social events throughout the year for members and friends to raise funds.

The PTFA is focused in two areas:1. to organize events and schemes for fundraising2. to implement social activities within the community to bring together children, parents/carers and teachers. The PTFA works very close with the school to improve life at school for the children and the community.

We host numerous activities Currently -:Bowls , Tap dancing class ,Craft session ,Karate club,Excercise classes -:Legs bums tums, Mellow moments .Also used by WI and Global Care. We also have a fortnightly meat bingo, and monthly Quiz night besides various other social events throughout the year.

We continue to uphold the aims of the Scout Association. Our aim is to promote fun, friendship and ultimately self-sufficiency for our Explorers, Scouts, Beavers and Cubs.

Provision of facilities for Youth Clubs, social events, corporate events, exhibitions. Provision of facilities for a variety of clubs, badminton, orchestra football etc. Facilities for social activities and advice sessions for the older person. Organised village events e.g. fetes, open days.

The purpose of Out of Character is to promote social inclusion among people who are socially excluded from society, or parts of society by reason of mental illness, in particular by:- providing theatre opportunities to adults who use or have used mental health services.-promoting an understanding of mental illness through the use of theatre

To provide relief for disable people in Sri Lanka by the provision of financial assistance and advice which directly relief the needs of the beneficiaries and the development services which either directly or indirectly facilitates disable people's ability to live independently.To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing disable people from becoming socially excluded.

Provides centre for social interaction. Organises courses of craft instruction & educational lectures/trips. Receives contributions in the form of subscriptions. Knits items for Romania/babies/seamen. Has made donations to ACWW, local schools , Garden Services, New Windows and re-furbish Car Park for scout hut. Has completely refurbished the kitchen facilities in the Scout hut.

We are a boys & girls club and community centre facilitating after school activites which include : mini and junoior football teams , martial classes,and youth club where young people can meet up and socialise and play table pool ,darts,table tennis ,five aside football and computor games .Our building is also used by the community for meetings ,keep fit classes,sewing groups ,walking groups..

PROVIDES VILLAGE HALL COMMUNITY FACILITIES IN THE AREA. USED BY PEOPLE FROM THE VILLAGE AND SURROUNDING AREA FOR SOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL AND GROUP MEETING PURPOSES EG, MEETINGS, SOCIAL EVENTS, PARTIES, WEDDING RECEPTIONS, DANCES, PANTOMINES, DRAMA GROUPS, KARATE CLASSES, TCAT COURSES, ALSO ACCOMMODATES THE VILLAGE POST OFFICE.

Encouraging people to volunteer, collecting food for Homeless Shelters; youth volunteer and leadership opportunities; supporting local schools; providing a community facility; social events; Luncheon Club for Senior Citizens; erect Town Christmas trees. Recycle Spectacles for Sight; Diabetes awareness clinics; maintaining the Local Nature Reserve. Annual youth sports event.

LCN provides Health, Social Care and Social Support, Advice, Information and Advocacy, Counselling/Psychosocial Care, International Development, Sponsor or Undertake Research, social Event and activities, umbrella body, Education, Training and Employment, Enviromnetal and Climate Change, Lobbying and Campaign and Volunteer Recruitment and Development in the London Area and Northern Ugandan Region.

Educational, social and companionship for people in Radcliffe-on-Trent who are no longer in full time work

The Club is located in Littleover Lane, Derby, DE23 6JL providing sports, fellowship and social activities for its members and the community. Cricket, Crown Green Bowls and Tennis are played at the ground. New members are always welcome. Bowls and Tennis are played recreationally with senior cricket played in the Derbyshire County League. Cricket is also available for juniors aged 5 - 17 years.
