At Furness Group Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), our horses benefit the lives of disabled children and adults in the Furness area. Through riding we provide therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement, all supported by our hard working volunteers and qualified coaches at Seaview Riding School on Walney Island, Barrow-in-Furness.

Greyhounds, Golden Oldies & Friends Animal Sanctuary is based in England. Our aim is to give sanctuary to mainly elderly animals, namely dogs, goats, sheep & ponies. Our aim is to give the animals that come our way the care, comfort, time & patience they need to enable them to live out their remaining days in peace & tranquility, free from fear and with the best care possible.

We offer help to relieve the suffering of horses in need of care and attention in Devon by providing support to equine charities, equines and their owners in a crisis situation, that can occur from financial difficulty, hospitalization or palliative care. We are all volunteers who give our time for free and operate entirely from donations by the public and funds raised from charity events.

Kent Horse Rescue provides a services, expertise and advice to the public regarding equines that may be suffering / abandoned. We help with advice and practical assistance regarding equine rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing, and in the relevant equine welfare legislation and DEFRA code. The Charity responds to calls from the public via telephone, social media and the website.

We give children and young people with disabilities the opportunity to ride a pony/horse.

The Mission of ISES is to promote and encourage the application of objective research and advanced practice which will ultimately improve the welfare of horses in their associations with humans.

We have five ponies based at Hartpury University. We provide riding sessions on Tuesdays in term time for children with disabilities, The charity consists solely of volunteers, some of whom are qualified RDA coaches who provide the lesson structure and instruction required. Training is given to enable the remaining volunteers to lead the ponies or sidewalk and provide the support needed.

An equine and rural charity consisting of a small team of volunteers which provides crime prevention advice, security marking of tack, equipment and vehicles,identification of loose and fly grazing equines,a database, messaging system and social media groups alert the public to news and pertinent information,welfare issues and delivering rural education across the 6 counties of North Wales.

The activities of the charity include providing Horse Shows for the benefit of those interested in Equine pusuits, providing funding for the activities of the Local youth Population, providing assistance to local youth groups and similar including funding play equipment for the young residents of the area.

We provide horse-powered interventions for those for whom talk-based therapies and services are not working. We provide well-evidenced equine-assisted services on an individual and group basis, by referral only. We also conduct workshops in non-verbal strategies for managing emotions.

To provide assisted horse riding opportunities to disabled adults

Providing and coordinating facilities by way of financial support and volunteer helpers assistance to enable persons with learning difficulties and/or special needs to enjoy the benefits of horse riding.

The group helps disabled children and adults benefit from the fun and companionship of spending time with horses. The riding sessions give a multisensory experience helping numeracy, speaking and listening skills and enable riders to co-operate with volunteer helpers and the horse. This also builds up confidence to help in other aspects of their lives.
