Providing marine training for 10 - 18 year olds.The Sea Cadets offers young people amazing opportunities for personal development by learning new skills and working in teams. We offer an environment where young people find new confidence and inspiration.Our biggest supporter is the Royal Navy. Our aim is to inspire young people through nautical adventure.

Supporting the RAF family

The Charity makes grants to serving and former serving members of the RN Clearance Diving Branch who are in need of support in accordance with the written Constitution.

Providing help & support for soldiers wounded whilst fighting

To promote humane behaviour towards animals. To provide appropriate care, protection, treatment & security for animals in need of care & attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage. To educate the public in matters such as animal welfare & prevention of cruelty & suffering among animals. To assist & support owners who have lost or stolen animals in the UK.

Promotion of efficiency of units of TA and ACF in Kent, Surrey and Sussex, and welfare support to serving and ex-members of them and their dependants.

This regimental museum is an entirely voluntary undertaking. It is financially independent and rents its premises. No charges are made for admission or services. In addition to the opening hours we give many 'out of hours' tours for parties and individuals. A major part of our work is the provision of detailed narratives of soldiers who have served in our Regiment both in wartime and peacetime.

Providing progressive Cadet Training, often of a challenging and exciting nature,to foster confidence,self reliance,loyalty and a sense of service to other people.

TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE (9 - 18 YEARS) TOWARDS RESPONSIBLE ADULTHOOD BY ENCOURAGING VALUABLE PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND HIGH STANDARDS OF CONDUCT USING A NAUTICAL THEME BASED ON THE CUSTOMS AND DISCIPLINE OF THE ROYAL NAVY

ON 17TH MARCH 2020 THE CHARITY ACHIEVED ITS MAIN AIM BY INSTALLING THE MONUMENT TO THE HERITAGE OF HMS VERNON, IN PARTICULAR THE MINE WARFARE AND DIVING COMMUNITIES PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE.THE MONUMENT IS LOCATED IN GUNWHARF QUAYS, PORTSMOUTH, HAMPSHIRE, UK.THE ONGOING CAMPAIGN LED BY THE TRUSTEES WILL CONTINUE TO RAISE FUNDS IN ORDER TO ENSURE THE LONG LIFE AND WELL-BEING OF THE MONUMENT.

To provide support for former members of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines and to afford the opportunity for members to meet and fundraise in order to provide support.

The Naval Cadet Corps operates one training unit, TS OCEAN, providing cadet training to children aged 10-18 years of age in the disciplines and ways of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. This teaches the children respect, responsibility and good citizenship.The units also help out in the local community and attend functions such as Remembrance Parades and Armed Forces Days.

To assist and support past and present members of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces

To promote the comradeship between ex Naval personel and the serving Navy and support service charities.

Welfare and support to serving and ex-service RAF personnel and their dependant families who are in need, and support for respite care.

Training young people through the traditiond of the Royal Navy

The purpose of The Somerset Military Museum is to collect, document, preserve, display and provide access to material relating to The Somerset Light Infantry and its successor and antecedent regiments including Somerset's Yeomanry, and to use and interpret this material for the education and benefit of members of the public of all ages and backgrounds and those within the Armed Forces.

Welfare of serving and past members of the Royal Air Force and their dependants for and on behalf of the Area and Central Headquarters of the RAF Association, the parent charity (226686) and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, whose grants we disburse.
