Armed forces Charities

The purpose of the Charity is to educate, familiarise and provide assistance for research into the history of the development of small arms, including anti-armour and mortars. The collection includes the Travers Library which is over a 1000 books of military history and small arms associated equipment and ancillaries.

General charitable giving mainly in Leicestershire with an emphasis on helping young people through supporting youth organisations, serving and retired members of the Armed Forces through service-related charities, and the elderly and needy through supporting other existing charities mainly in Leicestershire

Established to further the efficiency and well being of the Service, preserve its traditions and encourage recruiting. To foster comradeship and "esprit de corps" amongst those who have served or are serving in Our Naval Forces. To provide facilities for bringing Members together. To perpetuate the memory of those members of our Naval Forces who have died; in the service of their country.

Provision of support to the Regiment by attendance & participation in civic & military events organised by our own H.Q & other military/charitable organisation. The ongoing fostering of esprit de corps of all,including those in failing health by home visits and by regular association with members throughout the year, princably those retired.

For providing training and education for members of the Army Cadet Force in Warwickshire and the West Midlands (South Sector) in the duties of good citizenship.

Welfare of serving and ex-serving Air Forces people and their dependants

(1) Promoting the welfare of serving and former territorial soldiers through benevolent grants (2) Educating the public by preserving and displaying artefacts relating to the history of the Yeomanry (3) Promoting the welfare of serving territorial soldiers with sporting and social activities.

Assistance to retired and elderly ex Royal Naval personnel.

To promote the Royal Navy, and donate to service related charities as and when possible.

As per governing body - registered charity 226686 - The Royal Air Forces Association.

Mostly relating to the Royal Naval Association and activities with other branches of the armed forces.

Trehafren Hall Community Group manage Trehafren Hall in Newtown. The Hall is used for a number of purposes including Pre-school group; Salvation Army church and Birthday parties.

SOCIAL & WELFARE The charity is a branch of the Royal Air Forces Assn. It ha many Branches who share the same charitable object as the Association and are subject to the same constitution

Uniformed youth organization based on the Ethos & Traditions of the Royal Navy - Part of the Nationwide organization of the MS-SC.

To relieve either generally or individually persons who are serving or who have served in the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces or the dependants of such persons who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress

to look after the welfare and support ex and serving members of the parachute regiment and airborne forces in the sunderland area

To provide funds for enlargement of regimental collection

Its a network of Clubs and Branches provides comradship for serving & post members of the RAF and a family atmosphere for all. Provides advice, support and care for you and your dependents when the need araises.Provides respite care breaks[including special winter breaks]

Welfare of serving and ex-serving Air Force people and their dependants

offers assistance to other armed forces and ex forces personnel and families and or other charitable conerns according to rules laid down in the Royal Charter for the RNA

All collections go to the Royal Air Force Association Wing Appeal.

SUPPORTING IP3 RESIDENTS with shopping/collecting prescriptions/transport/a befriending service to lonely/vulnerable in person or by telephone, weekly Pop Up Shop, signpost for debt/employment advice. Referrals via Warm Handover facility, Salvation Army, Citizens Advice, social prescribers, local churches or IP3 GN volunteer/Trustees. Links with Community Action Suffolk, local and county councils.

Social and welfare assistance for serving and ex-serving members of the Royal Air Force, their families and dependants.

RAF Benson Community School PTA, fundraising for our school.

Organisation formed of serving and veterans of the Parachute Regiment & Airborne Forces, promoting contact between past and present members, commemorate those who have given their lives or suffered injury through their service and provide assistance to serving and veterans and their dependents through branch fund raising.
