WELFARE ACTIVITIES FOR ROYAL NAVAL ASSOCIATION MEMBERS, THEIR WIVES, WIDOWS AND CHILDREN

Ex servicemans association

Collecting donations from supermarkets to give to ex service charities

supporting serving members and veterans of the Army Air Corps, including personnel from other arms that have served with the AAC and their families.

Monthly meetings. Annual trafalgar night dinner. One or two social evenings per year.

Welfare for all ex RAF and RAF serving members

The Merchant Navy Association Harwich & District provides a meeting place for serving and retired Merchant Navy seafarers to meet and have social intercourse, receive welfare back up were necessary and socialise with other local exservicemens and civilian organisations. The association also has erected a memorial to british Merchant Navy Seafarers and continues to be responsible for its protection

we have no current activities scheduled, but are in contact with businesses within our area's to arrange some charity fund raising events.

To provide help and support to members, and their dependants, of the association. To provide a building where the members can meet to further the aims of the association, meet socially and continue the comradeship formed in the services.

Benevolence to old comrades/ retired soldiers and their families.

ALL OUR ACTIVITIES ARE DIRECTED TOWARDS SERVING AND EX-SERVING PEOPLE OF THE ROYAL NAVY, ROYAL MARINES, WOMENS ROYAL NAVAL SERVICE, ROYAL FLEET AUXILLIARY AND QUEEN ALEXANDRA ROYAL NAVAL NURSING SERVICE.

Supporting the Royal Air Forces Association Headquarters

To raise funds for providing welfare and care for those serving and ex-serving members of the RAF and their dependants who are in need.

National and local fundraising for the RAFA by holding various functions and an annual street collection called the Battle of Britain Wings Appeal. Money raised helps to support ex-RAF members who need assistance.

TO PROMOTE THE PARACHUTE REGIMENT PASS AND PRESENT

Support to Army Cadet Force activities where funding cannot be provided from other sources.

Providing welfare services for all serving and ex members of The Royal Air Force.

To help local ex RAF Personel through fund raising. Social events organised and hardship payments made.

Fund raising events, subscriptions, sponsorship, grants sought, gift aid, investment income and deposit interest raised an income of £3,150 before expenses. Grants were made totalling £2,000.

We operate mainly in Woking & Runnymede Boroughs. Donations are made to service related charities, local charities with which we are involved, also our own branch members who may be in need of help.

Promote welfare of the whole RAF family through the comradeship and welfare of the Association

A Branch of the Royal Air Force Association. Undertaking fundraising in support of the RAFA Wings Appeal and also to raise funds to support the welfare of the branch memebrship and the wider RAF Family.

To promote the efficiency of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces by fostering esprit de corps and maintaining contact between past and present members thereof. The commemoration and remembrance of those members of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces who have died while on active service; and the encouragement of public recognition of the sacrifice made by such persons.
