Arts Charities That specialise in Choirs

We are a mixed choir of about 35 members aiming to help people enjoy singing and develop their musical talents through training, rehearsal and public performances. Our concerts are mainly to raise funds for local charities and good causes.

The performance of choral concerts around North Yorkshire and Tees Valley, in many cases choral works which are rarely performed in the area where the concerts are given

We are a Welsh Male Voice Choir who rehearse twice a week and perform public charitable concerts to promote Welsh Male Voice choral singing. There are 30 members from a wide age group.

The study and practice of choral music and its public performance

This is a small chamber choir. It gives concerts in West Berkshire in support of local charities and other causes or churches. Its repertoire is both sacred and secular. The choir also is from time to time a visiting choir to cathedrals around the country. It also provides a choir to local parish churches for particular events like a harvest festival or a carol service or weddings

To advance, improve, develop and maintain appreciation of the art and science of choral and other music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts and other events; and for the general purposes of such charitable bodies or for such other purposes as shall be exclusively charitable as the Committee may from time to time decide

Choral singing

To further the education and for the advancement in life of boys who have sung in the choir of Canterbury Cathedral.

Quorum delivers its charitable purpose by holding regular choir rehearsals during school term time for members and performing concerts and ad hoc performances. Quorum offers membership to anyone who is able to pitch match, subject to a limit on numbers for each voice part.Quorum carries out these activities primarily in Hertfordshire but also more widely for example in London.

Cherwell Singers give one main performance each academic term in Oxford and also perform on other occasions such as weddings, conferences and to raise money for charities.

Attend rehearsals, put on workshops, perform concerts in different venues whilst raising money for children's oncology at QMC Nottingham.

Mixed voice choir singing for the pleasure and entertainment of our audience and our members, and helping other charities raise funds.

Our aim is to perform well-known and lesser known choral music for the benefit, education and entertainment of ourselves and the public at large. We occasionally work with other choral groups and orchestras in order to involve as much local talent as possible and to bring to our audience a wider range of works.

To provide financial support to enable amateur and professional musical performances (largely but not exclusively choral) to take place with specific reference to the music of Sir George Dyson. Also to support, research, education and the publication of music, books and articles.

Provide concerts of classical and contemporary music written for performance by choirs.

Ide Memorial Hall is the village hall for Ide. It provides facilities for community activities such as meetings, fitness and dance, drama, choir, art group and similar. The Hall is also available for private hire for children's parties and receptions and the like. All age groups are catered for. The Hall has recently undergone an extensive renovation with modernised toilets and kitchen.

Pilkington Choir members meets each Tuesday to learn and rehearse a wide range of music. We perform in 4 part harmony (SATB). We arrange to perform at concerts, weddings and funerals during the year and work at rehearsals to prepare for these events.We meet at Willowbrook Hospice the Living Well, Borough Road, St Helens, WA10 3RN.Rehearsals start at 7.30 and last for 2 hours.

Principal activity continues to be that of maintaining, improving and advancing education, particularly by the production of plays, operas, ballet, concerts, exhibitions and encouragement of the arts including the art of drama, mime, dance, singing and music and to formulate, prepare and install schemes for that reason.

WE ARE A MALE VOICE CHOIR WHO LEARN MUSIC AND SONG TO ENABLE US TO SING IN CONCERTS TO HELP RAISE MONIES FOR OTHER CHARITIES, AND TO PROVIDE ENTERTAINMENT AND MUSICAL APPRECIATION FOR RESIDENTS OF CARE HOMES AND OTHER GROUPS WITH SOCIAL NEEDS.

The advancement of the education of the public in the appreciation and knowledge of the art of choral singing, particularly but not exclusively by providing opportunities for disabled and able-bodied individuals to learn and take part in choral singing.

Choral singing, with concerts given in the autumn, at Christmas and in Spring. Concerts are mainly held in the St. Austell area.
