Arts Charities That specialise in Choirs

A mixed voice choir 16 members. Meets once a week for singing practice. Gives concerts to local organisations, some of them charitable and most of them run for the elderly. Members subscriptions just covers expense of hire of hall, musical directors and accompanist fees.

The European Opera Centre launched in 1997 maintains two broad aims: to help people of high potential move from education to employment in opera; and to develop audiences for opera. Carefully designed projects provide opportunities to singers, repetiteurs and others. Activities include full productions, productions in concert, concerts and recitals, recordings, masterclasses and work in schools.

The Friends work in association with the Churches Conservation Trust (registered charity no.258612) to enable increased use of this important civic building, for any appropriate public and educational purpose. About 80 events are held in St Nicholas' Chapel each year, especially for music including King's Lynn Festival Chorus concerts and during the King's Lynn Festival in mid-July.

The Charity's current activity focusses upon the commissioning of new choral music to be sung in churches. The Trustees are developing plans to advance the education and development of young people both in the study and performance of choral music, as well for the general education and development of young people from socially or economically deprived communities.

StagedRight Stafford helps young people aged 8 - 21 years build their confidence and develop their talents through singing, drama, dancing, theatre and performance skills, team working and supporting and encouraging each other. The group rehearses on Friday evenings at a school in Stafford and performs at events during the year including staging a large production on a professional theatre stage.

Choral Singing in Tenterden, Kent and surrounding area. We sing for charity fund-raising and other community events and rehearse at St Mildred's Church in Tenterden.

The object of SingersResound is to preserve and protect the physical and mental healthof opera and classical singers when they have encountered difficulties which impacttheir ability to perform. The charity fulfils this objective by providing a mentoringprogramme offering confidential support and education to help rebuild confidence andskills and to help alleviate isolation.

The payment bursaries to parents of children between the ages of 7 and 18 inclusive contributing to the musical life of All Saints Church, Hove to defray the expenses of musical education of any kind.

Ouse Valley Singers is a choir based in Sharnbrook, North Bedfordshire.We normally sing 4 part choral pieces (soprano, alto, tenor,bass) and sing a wide range of sacred and secular music. We perform regularly in churches and village halls. We have about 30 singers on roll and are lead by Janet Welsh, an extremely competent and well known musician in Bedfordshire.

Francophone activities, singing, library, messy play

An award of £500 and one of £250 may be given on an annual basis to the winner and runner-up of an annual competition for young musicians - instrumentalists or singers. Furthermore, consolation prizes are awarded to the other finalists in the competition - usually of at least £75 each.

Charity was officially launched on 29 November 2014 Our activities co-ordinator visited South Africa in April 2015 Repaired roof of the choir room at Inchanga Primary School (IPS) Working in primary and secondary schools, providing teaching and workshops on music and good choral/performance practice. 11 guitars were purchased for KwaManzini School, 1 adult guitar was bought for IPS.
