Arts Charities That specialise in Choirs

THE CHARITY PROVIDES A SCHOLARSHIP TO SINGERS WHO WIN THE FREDA PARRY SCHOLARSHIP FUND COMPETITION.

(a) To advance the study of music by the provision of a bursary or bursaries to organ scholars or piano accompanists (b) To advance the study of music by the provision of a bursary or bursaries to junior choristers of St. Mary Magdalene Church, for the study of musical instruments including singing lessons(c) To advance the study of music by the provision of competitions for Organ or Piano

The Charity undertakes performances of estabished choral works and other musical works on a regular basis throughout the year and hosts choral workshops in the Borough of Thurrock and the surrounding area

The Association exists to promote the enjoyment of organ music in general and choral music associated with the Christian Church. The Association aims to encourage organists of all ages to develop their musical abilities, and is able to offer small grants to members who are engaged in a recognised course of organ tuition, and who live in Shropshire.

Choir Activities

Support and improve provision of music and singing in St Andrews Church, Holy Trinity Church, U.R. Church and Bere Alston Primary School. All part of Bere Ferrers parish.

"...promote, maintain, improve and advance education particularly by the encouragement of the Arts including the arts of drama, ballet, music, singing, literature, sculpture and painting."

As income from fund is so small these days grants are made to the Chester Cathedral choir support group which includes both boy and girl choristers rather than individuals.

1. Providing funding to assist The King's Singers in offering choral workshops to groups of students nationwide.2. Supporting the production of choral training sessions in video form for online viewing and education.3. Funding choral music commissions from both young and established composers. 4. Offering free or discounted tickets for King's Singers concerts to the young & elderly.

Cambridge Philharmonic operates as a choir and an orchestra performing music at concerts to the general public across Cambridgeshire and occasionally in other venues. The choir and orchestra sometimes perform separately but mainly in conjunction. Cambridge Philharmonic is committed to music for all and this is reflected in its repertoire and concerts specifically designed for children.

The charity promotes the study and practice of choral music by organising events, conferences, festivals and concerts. In particular, it promotes LGBT singing and voice internationally by:1. Producing inclusive choral events2. Brokering and initiating opportunities for LGBT Choirs3. Promoting talent (Choirs, composers and producers)4. Developing the skills and capacity of LGBT Choirs

Riff Productions is a Sussex based charity offering performing arts opportunities in the form of workshops, classes and theatre performance opportunities to the wide community of creatives. We are always on the lookout for aspiring set/costume/lighting designers, musicians, actors, dancers and singers to join our community!

Promoting the education and training of members of the public in singing and in the study of vocal music and by helping talented singers in the early years of their singing careers.

To advance the education of the public in the art of madrigal singing and composition.

Provides funds towards the upkeep of the organ, choir, or general purposes of Cheadle Parish Church (St Mary's) Cheadle Cheshire. This enables not only the congregation but the general public as well to hear a pipe organ in the church building

We are a community based organisation working with community and church organisations, schools, local authority music services, private music teachers, singing and choral societies to provide opportunities for public performances and to enhance life-style opportunities for all ages through the Arts and especially music making. Our activities are centred on Bridlington and the surrounding villages.

To promote and encourage the musical education of the boys and girls of the Leeds Parish Church Choirs by providing grants to deserving choristers.

This being an Educational Charity the monies are used for this purpose - Church Sunday School, Confirmation Group, Advent Course and Youth Group. Some Christmas music for the church choir. Grants towards general education.

For bellringers and choir

Holding concerts, giving opportunities for local performers as much as possible, and supporting choral services in the church of St Mary de Haura, Shoreham-by-Sea.
