Porthleven under fives playgroup is a voluntary organisation, run by parents for children. It seeks to support children to learn in different interactive play. This is accomplished through playing with a variety of toys, undertaking art/craft/cooking activities, singing together & listening to stories as a group.

One tenth of the income to be applied for the benefit of poor children residing in the parish of Plymstock and attending the parish church of Plymstock, one tenth to be distributed between the singers in the said parish church and the remainder to be paid to the Vicar in part thereof for preaching a sermon annually on the duty of children to their parents.

We hold regular coffee mornings for the benefit of the local community. There are also dances, Taekwondo, general meetings, parties, musical events, historical talks, flower arranging classes and singing classes. We are also a venue for 'Churches Together' which brings together the Church of England and Methodist members of the community.

The advancement of the arts and the education of the public for the public benefit, by promoting and advancing the appreciation and enjoyment of music; centring on choral music and its performance. This will be achieved by means of (but not limited to) the running of an event which encompasses both a choral conducting competition and also public performances.

Since 2007 The Walbrook Music Trust has staged 5 major series of 37 orchestral and choral concerts & over 300 platform recitals, all at no charge, on Tuesdays at 1pm in the Church of St Stephen Walbrook London, establishing a tradition of high quality performance to audiences of up to 250. The concerts have featured The Handel Collection orchestra, a large no of choirs, organists & recitalists.

We are a choir and we sing. We perform a minimum of two major concerts to a maximum of six concerts a year, at various venues in the Portsmouth and Hampshire area. We take part in charity concerts, supporting local charities such as The Rowans Hospice and national charities such as Help For Heroes. We also provide a performance platform for local young musicians of outstanding talent.

The promotion and encouragement of the art of opera, its role in education, the support of operatic societies, music and singing and to further the education and experience of young musicians by assisting them in presenting their work to a wider public audience which in turn will also benefit through hearing artists and their music previously unknown to this public.

BCS (Basingstoke Choral Society) was formed in 1947 drawing its members from in and around the North Hampshire area. Our aim is to bring local audiences the highest quality musical events, performing with some of the country's leading professionals.

The festival offers a platform for amateur musicians and singers of all ages to perform in front of an expert adjudicator and to receive verbal and written feedback. An experienced accompanist is also available. It is competitive, but the emphasis is on education and encouragement. All sessions are open to the public and the festival culminates with a public concert of selected prizewinners.

Promotion, development and maintenance of public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music (especially in choral music) particularly in the Whitehall area and the surrounding neighbourhood through rehearsals for, and the presentation of, public concerts and recitals.
