Arts Charities That specialise in Dance

As a village hall we hire the building to regular users including: - Dance class, keep fit club, indoor bowls, Parish Council meetings, after school club, camera club, yoga. We also hire the hall for parties, receptions and other casual uses. Once a year the hall is used for an OAP christmas party funded and organised by a seperate committee. Poling Venue during elections.

In furthering the aims & vision described on the charity's website. WHEAT mentor support trust runs workshops, provides training, research and consultancy services; provides mentoring; and raises funds. For children and young people, it provides coaching in basketball and table tennis, teaches dance, art and gardening just to mention a few. Also promotes healthy eating & environmental awareness.

The trustees job is to look after Longlevens Village Hall so that it is a pleasant clean and tidy place for groups or individuals to hire. We have regular users i.e. WI's, cubs, brownies and dancing classes. Also single hire for sales, quizzes, birthday and anniversary parties and plays. We have an entertainments license, but no alcohol licence. We hold a joint PPL/PRS licence.

Provide facilities to community groups e.g Ladies, Youth Line-Dance, Gardening, Tai Chi. Provide a facility for occasional users: Local Elections, Comm. Council Meetings, Funeral Teas, local celebrations. Provide talks on heritage, poets, environmental issues. Provide a monthly Coffee morning for the community. In the future we want to extend this to other groups inc. educational groups.

As a Village Hall committee we do not put on activities but manage the hall for people to use such as;Dance Groups, Carpet Bowls, Artist Groups, Ballet for young people, Keep Fit classes etc

Village Hall hire facilities are provided for the benefit of the residents of Harlaxton. The Hall is also available for commercial hire to organisations providing recreational activities such as exercise and dance classes

Providing a venue for public and private functions including Parish Council, Church, Women's Institute, local amateur dramatic society, exercise classes, dance classes, art classes, dog training, parties and local and national elections.

We hire the hall out to community clubs, birthday parties, weddings, anniversary parties, dance groups, fitness groups, baby/toddler groups, dog training groups and community meetings. The hall that serves the community.

A Rural Youth movement for young people aged 10-26 years. Members can gain confidence and train for skills in drama & entertainments, public speaking, all sports competitions, stockjudging, stock showing and dancing. Life skills are learnt from members running their own club.

The aim of the charity is the provision of a village hall facility for those who wish to hold parties and others who wish to run classes for dancing, painting, and other similar purposes.

The charity provides a meeting place for village activities ranging from annual parish meetings, parish council meetings, toddlers, youth club, WI, over 60s, dancing, keep fit and exercise, fund-raising activities for village charities and organisations, private functions, drama group, changing and refreshment facilities for village sports clubs, and others.

BOXING club provides excercise & a social environment for local children aged 9 to 40. childrens dance class offering the same but is open to ages 4 to 16, keep fit classes, Mother and toddler groups, Community group meetings plus various fund raising activities like Summer Fayres, Car Boot Sales held annually. Table top salesplus cheep events locations for wider community

In general, the village hall is an asset available to all who live in Ridge. It is used for parties, meetings, clubs and group activities; it also runs classes for adults with learning difficulties and houses various dance classes.

The charity exists to educate the public in Scottish Country Dancing, by teaching dancing, holding dances and publishing books, records and other training materials, and by promoting dancing as part of our cultural heritage, as well as a healthy and enjoyable activity. Some dances are held for the general public, which raise funds for the charitable purposes of the Branch.

Main area of interest lies with the arts, in general and in education. Students are the Trust's priority area, and performing arts (dance, drama, music) are favoured, although other arts areas will be considered. Applications with a Yorkshire or regional focus are welcomed.

A Centre with good facilities for the disabled, offering social, environmental and hobby groups for older people. Activities for pre-school children, as well as uniformed organisations (7-14 years). There is also an adult/child Dancing Group and good facilities for children's parties.
