Multicultural work, the idea being community cohesion. Collaborative work with local cultural groups and with Customs House Trust (theatre and cinema) South Shields. We also run classical dance (Bharatnatyam) classes and Bollywood dance classes at the Customs House Mill Dam South Shields.

Silverdale Community Centre provides a place where all ages of the community come together to take part in a number of activities. Senior Citizens, Pre-school, Bowling, Ladies Section, Brownies, Cubs, Scouts, Karate and Dancing School are a few activities on offer.The Community Association work together to managed the building and provide the best possible facilities for the the users.

To advance education in the area of Tunbridge Wells, in traditional Scottish Country Dancing: in particular by (a) preserving and furthering the practice of traditional Scottish country dances; (b) providing or assisting in providing instruction in the dancing of Scottish country dancing; (c) promoting the enjoyment and appreciation of Scottish country dancing and music by any suitable means.

Provision of a range of self help educational groups aimed at +50 yrs. To advance the education of children and young people aged 4-18 through the provision of education in Tamil language and fine arts including singing and classical dance.

Activities cater for children, families, elderly people and sports groups, including dance and sewing classes, musical events, as well as providing a local venue for public meetings. Use of the centre allows groups to bid for grants that support their provision.

Bamford Community Centre is currently used by a Pre-School Playgroup, and the local ladies group.It is also available for casual letting for parties, dance classes, local meetings and other functions as and when required.

A community centre for use by various groups and organisations to enhance the lives of people on Woodloes Park. Regular users include - Senior Citizens, Mothers and Toddlers, Townswomens Guild, Weight Watchers, Belly Dancing, Pilates, Community Choir, Youth Theatre, Youth Club.

Promotes the Arts

The charity organises weekly classes in Scottish Country Dancing , for all levels of ability led by qualified teachers, with a regular attendance of 50+. It organises major annual events including a full day school with visiting teachers. It provides demonstrations on request, in particular at charity events and makes grants for teacher training and for young dancers to attend courses.

Organises prayers groups, religious seminars and public celebration of religious festivals to promote religion.Prepares extra curriculum activities such as theatre, music and dance for children and young people to support them to build up their skills and abilities.Provides used clothing, basic grocery shopping, temporary accommodation, small grants to those in need to relieve poverty.

Organisation and running of an annual festival consisting of Music, Dance, Speech and Drama. Open to people of all ages and abilities. There is a specific part of the Festival aimed at local schools to try and encourage the children to take part in the performing arts.

Fundraising acitivities such as annual bbq, annual dinner and dance, annual raffle to raise funds to support the charity projects eg academic scholarships for our alma mater.

Carpet bowls for all ages competing against other community centres. Ladies groups playing beetle and bingo and other games. Dancing classes for all ages, tap and modern, line dancing, art and craft groups, young peoples activities, social groups to encourage social inclusion and cohesion and others.
