Arts Charities That specialise in Festival

We are a local community festival bringing diverse, high quality programmed events to Steyning and the surrounding area. We showcase local, national and international talent via a programme of theatre, music, visual arts, walks and tours, literature, talks, and community events. A team of experienced volunteers manage the activities throughout the town.

Organisation of practice sessions of Yoga and Meditation, Chanting and group singing of hymns, celebration of Hindu festivals, social gatherings to promote Yoga and Meditation, raise funds for helping the poor, disadvantaged and people in distress anywhere in the world.

The principle activities of the charity include: weekend prayer meetings; weekend classes for children; yearly eid festival celebrations, regular advice and advocacy as necessary. Visiting sick people at home and hospital; conducting naming ceremonies and prayers.

Providing opportunities for amateur choristers to sing major works under the direction of a professional conductor and with professional musicians and soloists.

Young People Frome coordinates a variety of youth led projects. Initiatives have included the establishment of a youth cafe, projects addressing youth unemployment, multi media projects, antiracism projects in schools and within the community, leisure based activities for children including an annual Children's festival. Much of our work is with disadvantaged young people and their families.

Founded in 1945, we promote music making in the county of Westmorland & Furness. We run a bi-annual musical festival in Kendal.

The Charity provides an annual programme of arts workshops and environmental projects in Newport, South Wales. These culminate each year in the annual "Maindee Festival".

Main activities this year have been fundraising events, Cycle rides, raffles/10km runs/marathons/cake sales/Easter Fair/golf day/Rugby festival/Christmas Fair. We take information flyers & banners outlining Jakes story, the symptoms of Brain tumours/awareness/ informing healthcare professionals of symptoms & the need for early scans. Our social media sites updated with info on new research.

The Charity raises funds from events held in St Margaret's Church, Hothfield, such as festivals, concerts, talks, fayres and sales of homemade produce as well as receiving donations from the public. These monies are used to help fund the Church, graveyard and facilities, which are available to the public and residents of Hothfield and surrounding parishes in particular.

Advancing the Christian faith through gathering for worship and the holding of prayer meetings, lectures and public celebrations of Christian festivals. To enlighten others about the Christian religion and provide relevant support to the community as various needs arise that fit the ethos of the Christian religion, such as providing wellbeing spaces or warm spaces in the winter.

The Trust makes grants to and supports the Leith Hill Musical Festival and its affiliated choirs.

Generally Heaton Churches Together operates within the Heaton area of Newcastle supporting the various church members and the general community of Heaton.Our key event is Heaton Festival a large community event every two years, but we also do many other small events.

Icmg Brighton presents various activities with the purpose of teaching, learning, introducing and practising Islam, while fulfiling Islamic duties. We hold prayer meetings, religious day festivals, humanitary help events. Icmg Brighton fallows the procedures given by the icmg.org.uk. We are at the guidance of the Islamic Community Milli Gorus.

Advance the education of the public in the Arts, and in particular the Arts of Music, Speech and Drama in all their branches.Achieved currently by mounting an annual competitive festival of the performing arts.

A large member led rural club open to anyone with members aged between 10 & 28 years. Members participate in a wide range of activities such as sports, entertainments & drama, carnival, public speaking competitions, cattle showing and stockjudging, skills for life training, fundraising & social events.

To advance the Romanian Orthodox Faith in Northampton for the benefit of the public and in particular but without limitation through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals producing and distributing literarure to enlighten others about the Romanian Christian Orthodox. We organize events with Charitable purpose to raise money providing Church building.

We are a community park with a childrens Play area and Large grassed area. Local Football, Cricket and Bowls Clubs also use the facilities. We also hold annual events such as our village Carnival, community food fair and firework display.

The charity pays income at the discretion of the trustee to The British Federation of Festivals and Music, Dance and Speech in accordance with the terms of the will.

The choir provides an outlet for those who wish to sing at a high standard in a choir, and also improves their skills. It also provides the benefit of performances of music outside the usual choral repertoire for members of the public to enjoy. It also aims to make this music more accessible by gaining greater insight into the music e.g. via interviews with composers.

To advance the education of the public in Welsh culture including the improvement of public taste in the arts particular by holding an annual Eisteddfod in Abergavenney.

Charity organises various functions such as celebration of Hindu festivals, sporting events and women's groups, to raise funds for its charitable objects of relieving poverty and sickness, advancing education and Hindu religion amongst the Prajapati community.

The Trustees have concentrated on its two major resposibilities during the most recent year: the expansion of regular servuces in addition to those at major festivals and Harvest with Mattins or Evening Prayer at other times. The other responsibilty being the maintenance and good repair of the church and graveyard is top priority this year.

Members adjudicate at Drama Festivals and allied events throughout the British Isles and Western Europe to educate and guide the improvement of amateur drama for children and adults.
