The main activity of Springhill Parents and Friends Association is the organising of fund raising events. Funds raised are used to advance the education of the pupils by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school. Examples include improving playground equipment, purchasing hand driers to aid and promote health and hygiene and purchasing music books.

The activities of the Community Library provide a service which involves the loan of books and other media such as audio books and films on DVD etc. These activities foster and encourage the appreciation of books, literature and associated matters for the whole community.

A charity interested in and dedicated to the history and preservation of artefacts associated with Gosport & Fareham Omnibus Company and associated companies from 1878 to the present day. We undertake activities such as archiving, vehicle rallies and rent secure storage for our historic vehicles. We also produce a range of history books and a quarterly magazine The Provincial Press.

Publication of a literary and periodical magazine called Stand which promotes literary events and makes donations to bodies with similar aims and objectives.

Raises funds to preserve church & promote public awareness of it. 110 plus members pay annual subscription. Regular events - concerts etc- including annual arts festival. Produces literature, conducts adult & school tours, makes grants towards maintenance of church.

Provision by fundraising of books, equipment and other facilities other than such are normally provided by the LEA.

Encouraging the appreciation and study of the history of Liverpool & the immediate environs, primarily by a programme of public talks, guided walks, the publication of an annual journal & an extensive website news service to members and the wider public.

The Society encourages research and study into matters relating to Caughley porcelain and publishes the results in its newsletter, distributed free to members and lodged at key libraries and museums for public access. It also holds lecture meetings, open to members and to the public. In addition, it undertakes one-off projects such as exhibitions and the publication of a pattern book.

Didcot & District U3a is a learning cooperative of older people enabling members to share educational, creative and leisure activities. This is achieved through speaker meetings,outings and interest groups. Interest groups include, maths and science, medieval calligraphy, philosophy, book reading, wine appreciation. garden group and art appreciation.

The charity is a collective of Parents, Staff and local supporters who raise funds for use by Crofton Hammond Infant School. We do so through activities such as cake sales, uniform sales, Christmas markets, summer fayres, film nights and discos. We have previously funded outdoor play areas, book collections, interactive whiteboards and ICT equipment for the school.

Our main purpose is to advance the Islamic faith in the UK, for the benefit of the public through holding prayer meetings, lectures, and producing and/or distributing literature on Islam to enlighten others about the religion.

Fundraising by way of school fetes, sponsored activities and cake sales etc. This is used to enhance the facilites for the children and goes towards new equipment, books, outdoor play facilities and school excursions. It also pays for visits to the school for educational speakers.

The charity arranges general meetings monthly when an outside speaker is invited to present an illustrated talk to members on a variety of subjects. Members are also able to participate in interest groups covering activities such as art & crafts, film & theatre, languages & literature, food & drink, card & board games and various sports. Coffee mornings and social excursions are arranged also.

We hold Summer and Christmas fairs, discos, cake, book and ice lolly and jumble sales. We hold non school uniform days, to raise money for the school. In addition we hold Easter teas, Mothers day tea, quiz nights, bingo and treasure hunts. Also sponsored events and many other ways to raise money for the children of our school.

To support our charitable object of advancing the education of older people and people no longer in full time work we currently have over 20 Interest Groups covering a wide range of subjects conducive to learning and personal development. The subjects include Art & Architecture, Book Reviews, Canasta, Creative Writing, Garden, Heritage & Cultures, Jazz, Poetry, Singing, Skittles and Walking.

The charity can make small grants to assist students, whose home residence is in Acton, with books or equipment. The Trustees also consider other applications from local (Acton) organisations for help with education related needs.
