IBBY UK Section is the UK national section of the International Board on Books for Young People. IBBY, with over 70 national sections worldwide, is the foremost international organisation for the promotion of excellence in children's books and the support of initiatives and projects to support children's reading and publishing, particularly in developing countries.

We provide gospel halls for the religious activities of Christians. Detail can be found on the website www.plymouthbrethrenchristianchurch.org. Meetings are held including bible readings & preachings. Gospel literature is provided freely, street preachings are held regularly, food packs are provided to those in need and public events are held where free bibles are distributed.

Educational project in Pakistan including supporting students to receive a free education. The project is held in Pakistan where there is a very poor literacy rate and lack of resources for education particularly for women.Publishing and distributing literature in Pakistan and U.K. particularly to improve moderate spiritual peaceful diverse understanding of Islam.

Donnington Hall is owned by the village of Dunton Green and is hired out to bona fide organisations which provide a variety of activities for the local community. Regular activities include badminton, drama academy, karate, pre-school, sequence dancing and table tennis. Subject to availability, terms and conditions, individuals can book the Hall on an ad hoc basis for private functions.

The Hall Committee put on regular events (quizzes, ceilidh, carnival, food evenings etc) and it has regular weekly user-groups (scouts, art group, garden club, dog training, craft and chat, WI, book Club, Wine Circle etc). Everything is aimed at encouraging and protecting a sense of community.

The Radnorshire Society is concerned with the old Welsh county of Radnorshire founded in 1930. It organises an annual programme of public lectures and excursions. It maintains an important local history archive and library and publishes its own 'Transactions', incorporating new research and archive material. There is a Field Section which co-ordinates separate talks, research and field trips.

The promotion of interest in and preservation of birds through conservation activities, field trips, indoor talks, the production of literature etc. and through collaboration with other interested parties such as the RSPB, BTO, local natural history groups and local government.

KWEST provides libraries, children's books, literacy resources and supported reading to children in Watamu, Kenya to children who are severely socially and economically disadvantaged. We daily take books into local schools for a dedicated literacy lesson. We also work with other local agencies to promote environmental conservation education in this area.

We bring books to food banks. We create relationships between food banks and the arts sector by sourcing volunteers from the books industry to staff a regular 'bookbank' at a local food bank. The book bank is a stall of free donated books and printed materials - where food bank users are encouraged to browse, take books, donate their old books and engage in conversation about books and more.

MCL provides a lending library service as well as accessible IT for the local community in a dedicated community building. It also provides a meeting room for the purpose of educational activities and lectures.

We provide a three monthly news bulletin magazine for our members in the Midlands area.We make grants to individuals and provide care and counselling services to people with special needs e.g. people with an ileostomy and we raise funds to cover our activities.

The Society's area of interest is the pre-1974 city boundaries of Rochester including urban Strood.The Society's activities cover guided tours of Rochester, publication of leaflets/books on the City's history and making representation on relevant planning applications to Medway Council.The Society is represented on many bodies in the area covering tourism, built environment and conservation.

We run dementia cafes one a month in Atherton library and most of our work at the moment is the distribution of our "guardian angels" (wristbands / key rings / bag tag / badge) to anyone living with dementia.

The society is particularly concerned with lesser known British composers from the late 1800s to the middle years of the 20th Century. It is not generally a grant giving or commissioning body. The society issues a newsletter, journal and occasionally other books. It professionally records CDs. Its annual meetings usually incorporate some live music or other event.

Fundraising to donate to school - ie books/trips/playground equipment

The PTA raise funds, organise events and provide funds to purchase new learning equipment including computing and reading books for the children that attend the school. We also work with local businesses, support Amazon Smile and the Rugby Lotto to maintain steady income for the PTA to use to help fund the activities and needs of the school and the children.

Provision of the Journal for members and others; holding annual meetings for study of the United Reformed Church and the traditions from which it comes; provision of an enquiry service for the public, both at home and abroad; care of archives for the Church and provision of library services; the making of grants to members of the public intending to publish relevant research.

Support of students in higher education by way of a bursary for the purchase of educational books and equipment which is paid termly.

Until Oct 2019 we operated a converted library bus but we now work from a church in Chesterfield and a Christian Bookshop in Matlock. We provide food, friendship, clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags, all with prayer when requested, to the homeless and disadvantaged. The food consists of soup, sandwiches, hot drinks, and provisions donated by Greggs. Our dedicated volunteers lead the sessions.

HOEF is current working with two village schools in Ghana, we are providing them with computers, books and paying the school fees for 20 orphans. We intend to start an awareness program in second cycle schools by showing films about aids, Christianity, gang culture and many more to help them have a better future. We hope to set up computer training centers to help the under privilege.
