Without our volunteers we would lose our library, which is really valued by older members and families. Refreshments are always available. Usually, the Parish Clerk is available once a week for people to seek advice, and we host a Lego Club once a month and a knitting group twice a month.

NLHA provides financial and other support to groups and individuals; holds local history conferences; publishes a magazine "The Nottinghamshire Historian"; distributes monthly newsletter; works closely with local organisations (libraries, archives, local studies departments) to promote and support local history.

Operating from within the Langney Shopping Centre in Eastbourne, we are a community-run library for the residents of Langney and surrounding areas providing free membership to those that wish to use the library to borrow books and/or use the library's laptops to e.g. access/send emails and access the Internet. We offer IT support. We offer printing/ photocopying facilities (at competitive rates).

Weekly provision of recorded media to registered visually impaired persons in the Rossendale area, which contain information and news from the local paper and also magazine type articles. Electronic readers are supplied where necessary.

The purpose of the charity is to advance the education of the pupils of the school. We do this by organising fundraising activities including christmas and summer fairs. By raising funds we are able to provide the school with money to which they can spend for the benefit of the pupils. For example we have raised money for playground equipment, school trips a pupil-baking area & library books.

SHARE: Flitwick and Ampthill promotes the share, repair and re-use of products in the local area as a means of preventing and minimising waste disposal. This is predominantly through a Library of Things where people can borrow useful items and a Repair Cafe where items are repaired when possible. The W.O.A. commemorates the life and work of Wilfred Owen, poet. It maintains memorials and plaques, promotes educational conferences, visits, tours, bursaries and concerts. It publishes a twice-yearly journal and awards a biennial W.O. poetry prize. It runs a website, answers student requests and has close links with its sister organisation, the Siegfried Sassoon Fellowship.
