The objects of the charity are to promote the arts for the public benefit in particular the art of poetry and to advance public education and appreciation of the art of poetry in Chichester District, South Downs and surrounding areasby providing an annual poetry festival and/or other poetry events and/or educational outreach programmes and by the publication of publications.

Raises funds to support the acquisition, preservation and display of objects for the Doncaster Museums, art gallery, archives and local history library, and the educational activities of their staff. Organises a programme of educational talks about the museums, their collections and the history of Doncaster. Supports research into relevant topics.

Community Association. We run local walks and a book group. We run quiz nights and hold summer community fayres. We have put on evenings with local speakers, and coach trips, for the benefit of the local community, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other options.We publish a quarterly newsletter supporting local businesses and the community.

We are a professional association for scholars and activists working on issues related to gender and education. We support the organisation of an annual conference, have links to the Gender & Education journal, are developing a web and social media presence, and have funding to support networking and small pieces of research led by our members to raise awareness of key issues in the field.

Advancing the Christian religion by holding Services of Public Worship, Prayer Meetings and Bible Studies; running Sunday School and other youth groups; providing for the needs of elderly members and attenders; contributing to the work of Christian missionaries in the UK and abroad; and making Christian literature available through the Food for Thought bookshop in Clay Cross.

Teaching the value and means of Christian religious contemplation, and encouraging the practice of such contemplation, by all means available including the promotion and use of retreats, group meetings, discussion and provision and dissemination of literature and spoken word

We operate on the Island of Ukerewe, Tanzania. Our main activity is raising funds to purchase school uniforms, exercise books, pens and pencils to enable orphaned and disadvantaged children the opportunity to attend school and gain an education. We fund the purchase of Solar Lights for homes that do not have electricity. In addition we operate a health Fund to enable sick children to receive help

The Cranston Library is one of the glories of Reigate's heritage. The trustees conserve the books, maintain routine security and purchase insurance. The main fund-raising event is the annual Cranston Lecture. Free access is arranged for scholarly research and visits from the public. The library participates in the annual Heritage Open Day and other visits are made by arrangement with the trustees.

The Society exists to carry out and promote research into the local history of Ilkeston and District, and for arranging meetings, events and publications for our members and for the general public.

Conferences, workshops, regular newsletters and a termly magazine Early Days together with meetings and visits offer nurture and support for Early Years practitioners and settings holding Christian values. We advocate a holistic approach to early years care and education. Through social media we build relationships amongst our partners and engage with good practice in the UK and overseas.

Current activities involve purchase of Christian literature and support of Christian activities for the benefit of the people of Ilfracombe and especially of those in the parish of St Philip and St James.

The Society organises an annual programme of lectures (October to April) on local history and archaeology as well as excursions for members during the summer to sites of historical interest. The Society undertakes research and publishes historical books and periodicals. Its archives contain a wider range of material (e.g., maps, letters, photographs, taped interviews).

Provision of teaching and training in the fields of Endoscopy and Gastroenterology to the Medical community in the country of Bangladesh. This includes visits from Medical professionals from the UK to give lectures, seminars and practical demonstrations. The charity also donates educational material such as books, equipment and training models to University Hospitals in Bangladesh.

To provide a weekly talking newspaper and a monthly talking magazine service on USB microstick.web site and internet radio, to app 300 blind or partially sighted in the West Shropshire area. Our newspaper and magazine last up to 90 miniutes

Organising the affairs of the denomination (The Continuing Church), overseeing, encouraging and assisting member churches with advice and by visits, taking services, giving addresses, publication of a Journal and church planting.

Hold monthly meetings and talks for members. Arrange trips to places of interest (usually twice per annum). In 2001 we published a book, written by two members of the Society, entitled " OLD CATTON IN THE TWENTIETH CENTURY". In accordance with its constitution continues its work to protect the interests of Old Catton. Publish information and photographs on our website

Monthly meeting with invited speaker. Also group activities, including art appreciation, literature, current affairs, poetry reading and more. We also arrange trips to concerts and the theatre. During the year a gardening group, visiting Welsh gardens and hearing talks.

Fetes, Discos, raffles and games, bingo evenings, book bag and uniform sales, auction night, car boot, games/quiz nights, donations, plants, car wash.

Funds are raised by selling educational literature produced by the Society or in conjunction with other like minded organisations. The funds are used to offer opportunities for florists to attend workshops or to apply for bursaries in the continuation of their floristry training.

To aid with the educational development of the schools children, by holding various events to raise funds. These are then spent on various different things, such as books, outdoor play equipment, school trips, etc.

We run several self help groups for semi and retired people such as bowls, history, book club, card games etc
