The Raymond Williams Society exists to support and develop intellectual and political projects in areas broadly connected with Williams's work.We organise Annual Memorial Lectures and support or run a range of conferences, symposia and seminars concerned with education, culture, the media, drama, and the future of socialism. We produce Key Words: a Journal of Cultural Materialism.

Providing grants for travel and registration fees for attending scientific conferences and seminars. Providing funds for the cost of profesional journal subscriptions and textbooks. Providing funds for IT facilities supporting research activities.

Distributing Christian literature in this country, in prisons and abroad. Helping the homeless and persons with Addictions in the UK .

Chapel Hall Toddlers provide a place where pre school children and their parents/carers can enjoy playing in a safe and fun environment. We provide a range of toys for all ages, baby play mat, soft play, arts and craft table, books, climbing frame with slide.

Our charity helps individuals who live or attend school in the area specified by the terms of the charity with books for educational purposes, with travel to & from school, with uniform, with further educational studies at university abroad or at home. This year we had four applicants.

Arts, Educational and Advice to promote the development and extension of the use of the local publicly run library

Preserving the history of Soham and educating the public through a variety of constituent groups and activities: A regular schedule of talks and events, an on-line archive collection of Soham photographs and documents, local history classes, exhibitions and publications, practical digs and cataloging of finds. Regular coffee mornings, fetes, jumble sales and christmas fayre.

The association directly supports individual refugees and members of host communities in a disadvantaged area of Birmingham. We meet specific needs of individuals, including lessons on English speaking, adult numeracy, adult literacy, parenting and health issues. We offer advice and assistance on a wide range of personal support needs. We support families of non English speakers.

For the benefit of the poor of the townships of Appletreewick and Burnsall. To be distributed by the Trustees (Parson Churchwardens and four others) on St Thomas's Day. (December 21st In Book of Common Prayer).

Preserviation and Restoration of Railway artefacts, books and photographs

We continue to raise funds principally by selling or recycling donated pre-owned books, DVDs, CDs and LPs. Our charitable work is concentrated mainly on local projects but we also support a limited number of international charities, some of which are organised by Lions Club International and some by our own contacts.

Fundraising e.g. coffee mornings, raffle, shopping evening, breakfast club, mad hair summer fete, car boot. Spent on insurance, vegetable raised bed, swimpool donation, BBQ, disco, books library.

We are a small local charity run entirely by volunteers. We provide blind and partially sighted people with a monthly audio magazine. our aim is to provide a variety of general-interest magazine articles together with a selection of factual and news-related items. By making full use of the Royal Mail 'Articles for the Blind' service we are able to provide this facility without any charge.

The production, promotion and selling of books, DVDs, study notes etc. concerning the management of finance from a Biblical perspective.Initiating and running seminars, conferences and training courses for small & large groups.Establishing a web site to promote it's resources and as a catalyst for disseminating information.

Provision of theatre, film, cafe, bookshop and arts education activities in Acton W3.

BOC is an umbrella organisation for orchid growers, amateur and professional. It encourages the growing of orchids, trains and accredits orchid judges and organises and underwrites Congresses. It maintains a slide library and lecturers list for its members. Its website is a contact resource for anyone interested in growing orchids.

To provide, and promote a public museum containing a collection of artefacts, a library of books, video and audio tapes illustrating the work of the Royal Observer Corps and associated subjects such as aircraft recognition, The Royal Air Force, Home and Civil Defence. To provide facilities for the education of students and interested persons by using the collections for research and local history.

We are a small school parent teacher association organising events at school to raise funds for school equipment, improving the outdoor learning environment and for extra-curricular activities: ie books, a stage area, a garden, a stained glass window, a school pantomime. We also host social events such as a duck race, a fashion show, discos and music evenings for entertainment.

The main concern of the Association is to promote the life and works of Sydney Smith by educating the general public in his contributions to religious toleration, social reform and civic wellbeing. The promotion of these subjects is pursued through publications and through lectures. In addition, the Association contributes towards the provision and upkeep of churches associated with Sydney Smith.

Education, journal

Currently, and for at least the next year, the Charity is providing a functioning safe environment for the Village Library, as part of a Service Level Agreement with Somerset County Council. The current location is in a stationary ex-county Council mobile Library situated in a village car park. At the same time we are working with the Parish Council to provide a permanent community building.
