Arts Charities That specialise in Literature

The Charity has a strong focus on providing services (play) for children. This is not a specific aim, it's just evolved that way. The three main projects occupying Trustees time include a Children's Fund Playwork project, A Tool Library and the publication of a community newsletter. This howver does undersell the work we do. Every year we organsise a community fun day which attracts 400+ poeople.

CHRISTIAN DRAMA AND MAGAZINE PUBLICATIONS

We run a free book reading club, befriending, socials with recreational activities and guest speakers. Relieve of poverty through charity shop and food bank. We also provide educational support for all age groups including black and ethnic minorities and asylum seekers.

Payment for Christian activities in North Ferriby including Christian education and teaching. Purchase of books and other aids to explain Christian beliefs and actions.

The Association seeks to uphold the traditional teaching of the Christian religion as held by the Church of England; it does so through grants and publications.

We are working with the community towards providing Llwynhendy with a community building that will become a hub of activity and information to the benefit of the residents. Our role is to work with other community stakeholders in an inclusive manner so that the community is represented fairly. We meet regularly at Llwynhendy Library building as we look to establish the hub project.

Provides a robust package of employability services to assist customers on their journey into employment, training and education. We award grants to individuals who wish to undertyake traing/education courses in any filed associated with performing arts. This includes music, drama, dance and technical skills. This could include support with course fees, attendance at auditions, books, instruments, equipment etc. Individuals must demonstrate a close association with Rhondda Cynon Taff, usually through current residence.

Publication of Christian journals, tracts, magazines, books and holding Christian seminars on prophetic reality, water of digest and teaching on writing skill. To also distribute Christian tracts and other materials for both devotional and educational purposes.

Technology Books for Children provides a website that promotes reading for pleasure on tech topics. This is done through curated reading lists and resources. We also offer tech book packs, author and book ambassador visits to educational organisations/events and interactive tech activities.

The Charity buys bibles and prayer books for the school leavers each year at the Woolhampton Church of England primary school.

THE UPKEEP OF BEVERLEY PUBLIC LIBRARY

Furthering the study of insects and allied groups, particularly in North West England and North Wales. It does this by holding meetings, running training courses, organising public events for people of all ages, and occasional publications.

The awarding of one annual book prize to a child attending the West Wittering Parochial Church School. Such prize to be known as the Blackhall Prize.After provision of the Blackhall Prize any balance shall be paid to any charitable Christian Education Project being undertaken the said parish.

MAKES GRANTS FOR BOOKS/STUDY TO YOUNG PEOPLE IN FULL-TIME EDUCATION AND TRAINING (post 16). AND MAKES GRANTS FOR BOOKS AND MATERIALS FOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS WITHIN THE AREA OF KINGSTHORPE, NORTHAMPTON.

The Cambridge Historical Society was started in 1923 as the Faculty's first research seminar, the following year began publishing the Cambridge Historical Journal, one of the country's leading scholarly periodicals, and more recently has been making annual awards of small grants to support research.

Thornhill Community Library is run by volunteers to benefit the local community. TCL offers a full book borrowing and lending facility, public access computers and various drop in activities to promote learning and well being.

Money in the School Fund is raised through the sale of clothing embroidered with the school logo,book bags, photographs and from parents' contributions to activities at the school to which they are invited. The fund uses it's income to purchase clothing and other items for sale, cover costs of in-school activities and school outings.

The advancement of education of children and young people aged 3-18 years old experiencing poverty and financial hardship through the provision of; the procurement of health supplies, educational resources such as books and, or equipment, access to mainstream education, nonfood items or any other supplies in Uganda. We hope to expand to Sierra Leone, Zambia, Kenya and Zimbabwe in future.

The Trust's objectives are to promote, maintain, improve and advance education in the Arts generally, for the benefit of the public and in particular, to achievethese ends by:a)-the encouragement of sculpture, painting, drawing, design, lithography, print making, graphics, poetry, literature, film, photography and musicb) the advancement of skill and craftsmanship therein

To advance the education of preschool children in Malawi for the public benefit through providing educational resources such as books, toys, stationary, visual aids and any other educational materials to the providers of the Kothawira/Utiziro programme to enhance the cognitive, academic and social outcomes of children of marginalised and low income families.

The Charity works towards the provision of maintaining the Building and the provision of the library services in the Bowring Library Building
