Etatu aims to build a resourceful community, through education: we work closely with local primary schools, currently sponsor 63 secondary pupils, manage the resource centre & library which we built five years ago, fund & train teachers, run a community jigger clinic, provide weekly meals, educational assistance and healthcare to 40 orphans and run community environmental education workshops.

The Peter Harrington Foundation makes grants and donations focused on advancing the education of new entrants into the rare book trade, charitable causes close to the rare book trade and giving grants to charities that provide emergency or essential relief and support to vulnerable individuals and families. We run a multi activity community centre. We house the local community Police team and Community library , Army Cadets, Dance Tazia and other groups including alternative educational lessons. . A Spiritualist church meet weekly, film and lunch clubs for the elderly use the centre regularly as well as children's parties. Community groups attend the centre for activities/training and meetings.

Promotion of the Kerry Hill Sheep breed

Having regard to the Charity Commissions guidance on public benefit, the main activities are 1. The regular weekly conduct of public worship services to which all are invited with special emphasis on residents of Snailbeach and nearby communities. 2. Periodic distribution of literature. 3. Support of various Christian missionary activities both in the UK and overseas.

The Company was incorporated to facilitate the provision of legal literature to developing and other countries for educational and other charitable purposes.

Pinhoe Community Hub is a community-led initiative to develop a new community centre, housing library, desperately needing of a new home, a contemporary community centre, with a cafe, meeting rooms and IT access, to meet the needs of the expanding community of Pinhoe. At this stage in the project we are developing the plans for the building and raising funds to build it

Still working hard to maintain the Village Hall, which is now 29 years old. We have replaced heating, doors, flooring and the kitchen in the hall. The car park has been refurbished, and we opened our new playground summer 2013. We have refurbished toilets, installed new internal dividing doors, renewed fences,created a community library. A local football club uses the centre as their home base.

To advance in the Islamic faith throughout England and Wales for the benefit of the public in accordance with the Statement of Faith mainly but not exclusively through the holding of services and meetings, religious and supplementary education, maintaining a library of Islamic literature, outreach and pastoral care.

The main charity activity at the moment is to produce (write, print and distribute) suitable Islamic and Somali books for children to use.

WE OFFER VARIOUS ACTIVITIES SUCH AS WALKING FOOTBALL, GOLF, BOWLS, FISHING, WALKING CLUB, BOOK CLUB, CRIBBAGE, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS TO HELP AND SUPPORT PEOPLE AND FAMILIES WHO LIVE WITH PARKINSON'S DISEASE. BEING ACTIVE IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE CONDITION. WE RELY ON GRANTS, SPONSORSHIP AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS TO PROVIDE THE ACTIVITIES THAT WE OFFER.

THE CHARITY COLLECTS AND DISTRIBUTES RELIEF AID TO COUNTRIES WHERE SUCH A NEED HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED, INCLUDING MEDICAL AID, BEDS, CLOTHING, TOYS AND BOOKS, AND SCHOOL EQUIPMENT, UTILISING WAREHOUSING AND SHIPPING CONTAINERS.

The Society has since 1937 recorded for public benefit the history of all types of self propelled road steam engines - traction engines,road rollers, wagons and portable engines - made, used or preserved in the UK. It maintains an extensive record of owners and manufacturers production, photographs, books and literature and publishes a quarterly journal.Public reference may be made to the records.
