THE CLUB AIMS TO DEVELOP MANUAL, SOCIAL & LITERACY SKILLS. OUTINGS AND A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES ARE UNDERTAKEN INCLUDING LEARNING CURVE, DRAMA, COOKERY, GAMES AND MOVEMENT TO MUSIC.

Providing literacy education to orphans and vulnerable children in Africa

In India we have built a school jointly with local charity HIRA and are educating 148 children in Vaniyambadi Global school. We are also educating 193 children in Holy Faith School.In Pakistan we are paying school fees, uniforms and books for 114 children to attend Spring Public school plus a day centre for 92 children who are unable to attend school as they work to support their family.

Gosport Cornerstone Trust operate the Christian bookshop Cornerstone Books to provide bibles, books and other materials to support people in their Christian faith.

This Charity was dormant up until 31st July 2014. From that date it began to take over the activities of The Charles Causley Trust (charity number 1102459). Its objects are the advancement of education in literature and poetry, particularly in relation to the works of Charles Causley, and the maintenance of Cyprus Well. Grants are made to potential writers and poets from Cornwall and Devon.

We are a multi activity social inclusion charity running at least 4 groups a week on Zoom, plus at least 1 monthly meet up in person in London. Zoom events: concerts, audio described (AD) body conditioning, AD Zumba, AD chair yoga, brain aerobics, aerobics for the memory, quizzes, poetry appreciation, cookery, a book club, guest speakers and mental health wellbeing sessions.

Lectures are held on historical subjects. Coach tours are organised to places of historical interest. Publications on the history of Chingford are issued. Representations are made to local authorities on historic buildings and conservation areas.

Each year Abbots Langley School Association organise various events: Christmas and Summer fetes, quiz nights, discos, book sales, plant sales, etc.. All monies raised from these and other smaller events is donated to Abbots Langley School and is used to pay for upcoming projects.

AIMS is a volunteer run charity campaigning on maternity issues and providing birth information and support via helpline, website and publications. We believe that women should be supported to make informed decisions about what is right for them when they are pregnant, giving birth and when feeding and caring for their baby, and work towards making this a reality for all families in the UK

We operate a number of community managed facilities to empower volunteer teams to shape and grow their environment. Our current facilities include a community managed library and social hub and allotments.
