The Croydon Dyslexia Association is affiliated to the British Dyslexia Association. Our aim is to support teachers, parents, young people & children in the Croydon area who are affected by dyslexia or associated specific learning difficulties. We work closely with the Croydon SENSS team, the Borough's Library Service & we also support& liaise with a local adult dyslexia group.

The primary activity of the Charity, t/a Families Anonymous, is the support of families and friends of drug abusers in the UK, Eire and Gibraltar. The Archive collects information about all aspects of the history of the St Ives area and makes it available to the general public. This includes photographs, and oral history recordings. Volunteers undertake research, produce publications and set up displays in local venues.The Centre provides outreach facilities for the elderly and young, working closely with local schools and colleges.

A church which delivers spiritual services to the community- helping people with depression, drug addicts,providing free counselling to the community on various issues e.g. marriage/family break down, addictions, teenage delinquency amongst others. This is done by preaching the Gospel of Peace through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Free supply of resourses e.g-DVD, BOOKS,BIBLES etc.

Establishing and equipping a resource centre in Ogbomosho, Nigeria, to support local schools by providing textbooks, science equipment, IT equipment, school furnishings, staff training and library facilities. To date, a container load of used textbooks and library books has been shipped to Ogbomosho and we are currently fundraising to buy land for the resource centre.

Charity setup to raise funds to support the students of Balshaw Lane Community Primary School, Euxton, Chorley. Raising funds to support their educational needs including transport costs for school trips, library books, school learning resources, iPads and ICT equipment as well as many other things to help with their development needs. Midhurst Community Hub is a "one-stop-shop" advice centre for people coping with multiple problems to do with debt,benefits, housing issues, utility companies, Blue Badge/PIP forms etc. It is run by local volunteers for local people. The Hub is based in the Library at the Grange Community centre but with "spokes" linking to over 30 specialist providers in the public and charity sectors.

From the proceeds from our charity shop in Keighley we support between 20 and 40 orphans with school fees and food every year. Every year we send 20ft worth of items to Zimbabwe. We have provided books to Mpfurudzi Primary school with reading books and computers and we have donated towards construction of a library. African Hospital Libraries sets up and supports health information library services in Sierra Leone. We select and ship high quality and context-relevant books and educational resources. We implement a standard system of library membership and borrowing. The libraries are free to join. We employ local library staff to manage the services. We work in partnership with local stakeholders.
