SHANKLIN TOWN BRASS BAND IS A COMMUNITY ORGANISATION OPEN TO PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES DEDICATED TO TEACHING AND PERFORMING BRASS BAND MUSIC ACROSS THE ISLE OF WIGHT: ENTERTAINING THE PUBLIC AND GIVING YOUNG PEOPLE AND ADULTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY A BRASS INSTRUMENT AND PARTICIPATE IN PERFORMANCES, COMPETITIONS AND INDIVIDUAL EXAMINATIONS TO GAIN QUALIFICATIONS.

WYO provides weekly term-time training in orchestral playing and the presentation of public concerts for young people under the age of 19, who are ordinarily resident in the former county of Westmorland.

The CLO perform 3 concerts per year, rehearsing on Thursdays for 10-12 weeks per term. The CLO is non-profit making and exists purely for its members' enjoyment.
