Arts Charities That specialise in Music

Manage the day to day running of the village hall. Activities taking place in the hall include - dances club meetings dance classes concerts rehearsals exhibitions elections fairs parties

To provide a festival of music and arts in September/October each year, together with an education project in schools.

The aims and objectives of the Society is to arrange four high quality classical music concerts each year in St Mary's Church, Painswick, which are greatly appreciated and well attended. Although professional and celebrated artists are usually engaged to maintain the high standards, the cost of tickets is kept to a minimum to make the concerts available to all.

The synagogue holds services every Friday night and and marks all festivals and high holidays. Many school visits take place to meet the national curriculum. A Jewish studies and Art/Music group meets regularly and there are various social activities. National Holocaust day is observed along with local council and other faith groups.

The advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the doctrines set out in its statement of faith, and the prevention and relief of poverty.The Charity does this by holding church services where members of the community and parishioners can attend. The services consist of singing hymns, sharing the words of the bible and prayers.The Charity operates throughout England

We are an amateur dramatic society and own, operate and administer a small theatre, the Audley Theatre, for the presentation of plays, shows and concerts. We also make our facilities available to other societies and groups with similar interests. We also have an active youth section and aim to stimulate and encourage their interest in the stage and the performing arts.

We run projects using the Afro- Brazilian martial arts capoeira, arts, music, dance and performing arts as the vehicle of education and the inspiration for people in UK. Our activities are aimed to support, children, young people, vulnerable adults, children with disabilities and families to develop their skills in order to have a better chance to integrate in the community and a better future;

St John Singers is a small choir which sings at events such as concerts and religious services, often in partnership with other charities. The main area of activity is Salisbury, with occasional trips further afield or overseas. Members and audiences benefit from the appreciation of, and education in the art and science of music. Partnering charities benefit financially from concert profits.

The charity promotes arts and culture for the benefit of the public, in part but not exclusively by:Supporting young performers;Organising art exhibitions and concerts for the benefit of the public to promote choral music, and;Creating opportunities for cultural exchange.

Great Doddington Memorial Hall was built for the benefit of all the residents of the village and surrounding area. It is run by a small committee of volunteers. It provides a venue for local organisations to hold meetings and participate in activities, as well as being an ideal venue for parties, dances, concerts, and a variety of fundraising events.

We are an amateur choir of about 90 members, with a broad age range and a young and enthusiastic conductor. Each season we rehearse and perform three main concerts of classical music with professional soloists and instrumentalists. Every two years or so, we make a short concert tour. In October 2013, we visited Haarlem.

Chester Bach Singers performs a series of concerts annually and hosts Choral Workshops and Come & Sing events. Through these activities we educate and inform the public. We also work with schools and colleges, offering a Young Singers Scheme.

Published newsletters;Conducted fund raising activities, i.e. a Tea and Cakes event at the annual Prom Concert and various raffles;Arranged for coaches to run from the village to a concert in Marlborough and accompanied the Band to a number of competitions;Funded the Training Band;Funded refurbishment of the Timpani, hall hire, conductor?s expenses, coach hire and purchase of music stands.

Whist, bridge, young persons group activities, baby and toddler group, music lessons, judo lessons for children, parish council and village hall meetings, public meetings, polling station when required, neighbourhood watch group, church coffee mornings, childrens parties and other private events, annual parish fayre, charity rummage sales/table top sales and other fund raising activities.

To facilitate and organise social, educational, recreational and sporting activities for the local community - eg art and craft groups, table tennis, carpet bowls, taekwondo, Pilates, yoga, keep fit classes, quiz nights, musical concerts and social events.

Performing Choral music

To hold an annual music, speech and dance festival

To educate the public in the dramatic, musical and operatic arts; to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts.

Members of Downland Chorale belong to the choir to enjoy rehearsing and performing together. Founded over 40 years ago, membership varies between 50- 60, and covers the full voice range. Members fund rehearsals and performances, but members of the public are invited to attend our concerts to help defray costs. We currently have no sponsorship or local authority funding.

City Chamber Choir's principal activity is the study in rehearsal and the presentation in live performance of choral music. Its repertoire is wide-ranging, with a particular emphasis on less familiar music from early and 20th century periods, frequently performed a cappella. The choir has been involved with a number of new commissions and is recognised for its enterprising programming.

Advancement of the education of the public in the science, art, literature, music, history, economics, philosophy, culture, way of life and other recognised subjects of the academic study of Greece.The relief of poverty and sickness with particular regard to persons who have suffered as a result of disasters whether in the United Kingdom or in Greece or elsewhere.

MAINTENANCE OF LOCAL VILLAGE HALL WHICH IS USED FOR LOCAL FUNCTIONS AND GROUP ACTIVITIES I.E. WOMENS INSTITUTE, NCT, SPORTS GROUPS, MUSIC & ART GROUPS ETC. EVENTS ARE ORGANISED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO FUND THIS.

SELO rehearses for and performs a number of orchestral music concerts a year, primarily in Beckenham.

The objectives of the society shall be to advance, improve and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art of choral music in all its aspects, including the presentation of public choral concerts, and other similar charitable purposes as may be decided upon by the committee from time to time.
