Arts Charities That specialise in Music

The main activities include social evenings, monthly evenings with live music, seasonal indoor fairs, monthly meetings of the local Women's Institute, weekly practice and seasonal concerts by Cleator Moor Brass, weekly exercise classes and monthly meetings of the local Parish Council.The facilities are made available for the public benefit.

We are a music project for children and young people aged 0-18, particularly those who would otherwise find it difficult to access positive and constructive group activities, especially high quality music tuition, which can be expensive and hard to find. We meet on Saturdays during term-time and sessions happen at different times depending on age. It costs just -ú1 per child per week.

Brass Band

Presentation of public concerts and other musical events.

Promotion, improvement and education of the public taste in music, choral singing, opera or the other arts.

We educate the public in music through concerts. We support young musicians as soloists at concerts. We support young musicians in our orchestras in their musical development.

Bournemouth Male Voice Choir in performing in concert provide a valuable resource for other charities to obtain valuable finances through the organisation of concerts for the public. In so doing the Choir also offer the opportunity for men of varying ages to come together and sing furthering Male Voice Choral music to the public and enhancing their own and the publics appreciation of Choral music.

Provide chamber music concerts given by professional artists for the surrounding area.

A community Choral Society of around 90 members (SATB )who perform three concerts a year in Wimborne Minster. Members come from not only the town of Wimborne but the local area to a distance of up to 20 miles

Providing a community concert band - rehearsals and concerts and free band stand performances for the local community.

In all cases for public benefit to provide, advance, develop and maintain public education and appreciation of the art of music, in particular Brass Band music, in all its aspects by provision of training in and playing of musical instruments, practice, preparation and presentation of public performances and similar activities and in such other ways as the Charity Trustees shall from time to tim

Conducting classes to the children of the Multi-Faith Tamil Community in Tamil Language, Key Stage subjects, Cultural subjects such as Bharatanatiyam, Kucchipudi, Mirdangam, Veena, Violin, Carnatic Music, Key Board etc. We are also involved in promoting the Tamil Culture and intergrating the Tamils who have come to the UK as refugees into the mainstream society seemlessly.

We organise and run community events in Penkridge and the surrounding area to raise money to benefit local charities, community groups and/or good causes. We run a fun run/fun day, Santa sleigh tour, music tribute nights, comedy nights and sportsman evenings.

The charity exists to provide education in music to all ages to residents of the district of Lancaster.

Chamber Music Society

The Centre caters for such organisations as Scouts & Guides,Youth Clubs,Bowling,Playgroup,Garden Club, W.I., Golden Link,Gymnastics, Yoga, Badminton etc. as well as social events such as parties, concerts, Bingo etc.We try to provide facilities and opportunities for all age groups to enjoy.

Performs symphony concerts in the community. Holds music workshops fo young musicians and disadvantaged people in the community.

The Charity is a mixed chamber choir. Five to six choral concerts are performed annually. Every year the Charity makes grants to deserving young candidates following acceptance into the Choir as choral scholars.

HOWGILL VILLAGE HALL IS USED BY PEOPLE OF ALL AGES WHO LIVE IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA AND BEYOND FOR MANY SOCIAL EVENTS, INCLUDING CHRISTMAS, HARVEST, AND OTHER CELEBRATIONS. IT ALSO HOLDS SPORTS DAYS, CONCERTS, DOMINO DRIVES, WOMENS INSTITUTE, YOUNG FARMERS AND WEEKLY TODDLERS GROUP, AS WELL AS FUND RAISING EVENTS E.G. DUCK RACE, COFFEE EVENINGS AND HIRE OF THE HALL BY OTHER GROUPS

The object of the society, is to educate the public in dramatic, musical and theatrical arts.

Pipe band which exists to promote and provide musical tuition, perform at parades, music festivals and competitions.

The charity pays the income from the trust fund for the provision of scholarships for further education in the arts, music, study of ceramics and allied subjects, and for furtherance of study in heart surgery, to residents of Hong Kong. The charity awards grants to the Chinese University of Hong Kong for the provison of scholarships in accordance with these objects.
