Arts Charities That specialise in Music

We work to break down barriers of inclusions by bringing amateur productions of musical theatre, theatrical performances operettas & light opera to the local community and improve confidence, ability and a sense inclusion.

The ELMA trust funds and manages the ELMA SCHOOL in Siem Reap, which provides free education for 300 local children from the ages 4 - 18, where they are taught English, maths and IT. The ELMA SCHOOL provides a breakfast club and after school clubs in art, music, sport and dance.

BFA deliver a six-month Befriend project for refugee families from French-speaking communities within Croydon who are isolated, lonely, and stressed to empower them to participate in weekly meetings. They can build knowledge on health issues. We run various sessions of dance, art, music, drama and life skills for young people with the help of volunteers to support young people.

The Charity is an amateur wind-band. The objective of the Charity is (as recorded in the constitution) is to advance the education of the public in the art of music and in particular band music by the presentation of concerts to which members of the public have access.

For the individual we offer tuition of a musical instrument (woodwind, brass, glockenspiel or percussion), playing as part of a band & marching skills.As a group we offer a sense of teamwork & co-operation & a feeling of community being part of a group throughout engagements and social events.We practice at St Thomas of Canterbury Primary School & our engagements take place locally.

The study and practice of choral music, in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by means of public performance. To assist and support such charitable institutions or purposes as the committee shall from time to time determine.

Rehearsing for and performing 3 concerts a year

BI-CC, established - 1978, membership of 300 (31-12-2023). BI-CC offers a diverse range of activities, including Yoga, Dance Yoga, Singing & Dancing, and special festival celebrations. Additionally, BI-CC holds health seminars, Reflexology classes, organises visits to London Palaces and seaside trips, and host luncheon events with live music. BI-CC provides Tech classes for the elderly.

Trianon Music Group consists of a large symphony orchestra and choir who perform three major concerts each year. At other times throughout the year members of Trianon also participate in smaller groups who perform Community Concerts in churches, village halls and community centres. The group also hosts Music Study Days and participates in other regional musical events.

The British Music Society of York puts on six Chamber Music Concerts each year in the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall at the University of York. Our purpose is to bring chamber music to as wide an audience as possible and to this end we offer annual subscription for students and young people at only £3.67 per concert and for adults at only £10.75 per concert.

The object of this charity is to advance education in the arts for the public benefit among economically and socially disadvantaged primary school children in Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire and neighbouring counties by providing them with access to free creative arts-based activities including visual arts, drama, dance, music, singing, gardening and cookery.

Wicor Primary School Association organises fund raising activities for the school such as summer and Christmas fayres, school discos, and other social events to raise money to buy extra things for the school that would not be possible from their budget from the education authority, eg music instruments, travelling theatre company, children's christmas gift, playtrail equipment

Brass Band public performance, musical education

We are a charity bringing the highest quality of classical and modern music to deaf people. We collaborate and innovate.

We are a mixed amateur Choir which meets weekly and gives concerts throughout the year. The main objective is to provide a local social service for Choir Members but also, from our concerts, we raise money for other Charities both Local and National.

The charity aims to advance the study of musical life in its full richness and diversity. It serves as a forum for cooperation between researchers, facilitating debate and exchange of knowledge through organising conferences and public events concerning music, sound and dance from all parts of the world. It publishes three issues a year of the journal Ethnomusicology Forum.

Supporting young musicians in the Lancashire County Ensembles through funding projects, resources and activities and supporting individual young people where finances are a barrier to participation.

The goals of the charity are advancing, improving, developing, and maintaining public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects. The goals will be achieved by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals
