Arts Charities That specialise in Music

Promotion of art and education of choral music; weekly rehearsals September to April. Presentation of two public concerts annually. Fund raising is now pursued - a quiz night once per annum - all proceeds to society funds.

Epsom Music is a Charity dedicated to supporting local music education and the performance of many genres of music in the Borough of Epsom and Ewell

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in the appreciation of the art and science of music, particularly brass band music in all its aspects and to further other charitable purposes as the trustees may decide.

Woodbridge Excelsior Band is a Brass Band established in 1846. The Band provides an opportunity for anyone who is interested in playing music within the setting of a traditional Brass Band. The Band performs traditional favourites, modern pop music and contemporary music. It can be hired for concerts, local fetes, civic parades, carol services or private functions, throughout the entire year.

To promote Brass Music by showcasing brass bands of all standards and abilities from the Shropshire area and further afield, in a non-competitive annual Festival. To encourage people of all ages and cultures to engage with brass band music both as a player or follower and those new to this type of music.

Advancing music education by raising and disbursing funds; making grants to individuals of 21 years or less (music students to 25 years), who through financial disadvantage may be denied access to appropriate music activity (recipients will live in or receive school education in Kent or Medway) and will support youth group musical activities by advocacy, grants and provision of opportunities.

North Devon Sinfonia is an amateur Symphony Orchestra. We rehearse and perform a wide range of music in venues in Devon. We have members from all walks of life and all ages. Anyone who has achieved an appropriate musical standard on their orchestral instrument can join. Our performances are open to all and we actively encourage children and young adults to attend by giving them free admission.

Performance of the English Choral Singing tradition; offering opportutinites to any one who shows an interest in the choral repetoire to sing and listen. Full SATB choir supported by visiting soloists and orchestral musicians and key board players.

Promotion of free Saturday lunchtime recitals in the centre of Warrington.Organising biennial competition for young musicians under the age of 19. At present, our catchment area covers Cheshire, Merseyside and parts of Greater Manchester.

Performances of opera and opera-related concerts, as well as workshops and other opera-related events.

Provide band music for public entertainment and support of local events , fetes, shows and concerts in the general area of North West Hampshire and West Berkshire. To support fund-raising activities of local charities. To provide to people of all ages music tuition, personal development , experience and recreation through the playing of brass instruments.

The objects of Ely Consort CIO are to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of choral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public choral concerts in East Anglia and for the general purposes of such charitable bodies or for such purposes as shall be exclusively charitable as the Committee may from time to time decide.

PUBLIC CONCERTS AND RECITALS.

Whitwell Brass perform several public concerts each year in addition to competing in brass band competitions. The band also provides tuition to players of all ages.

The Hounslow Festival of M, S & D (affiliated to the British and International Federation of Festivals for Music, Dance & Speech) is a competitive festival with classes of all ages and abilities in Singing/ Piano/ Dancing/Instrumental & Speech that takes place every year. The aim is to encourage the study & performance of the arts by giving the opportunity for public performance & adjudication.

To encourage the study, performance and appreciation of good music and literature by holding annual competitions

Dancing, bingo, lunch clubs, resource centre, concerts and disable centre.

W.I. is based on the ideals of fellowship, truth, tolerance and justice. To improve and develop conditions of rural life and advance the education of women in citizenship in public questions both national and international, in music drama and other cultural subjects plus instruction and training in all branches of agriculture handicrafts home economics health and social welfare.

GYSMA facilitates collaborative music events for Great Yarmouth Schools, Academies and Colleges: Sounds4Christmas (KS1 choirs); 2 night Festival of Carols (KS2-5 choirs); Spring & Summer Celebration (All schools and instrumentalists); Summer Serenade (KS2-5 choirs); KS1 Singing Days. All held in Great Yarmouth and Gorleston.One free monthly activity for Keyboard Orchestra (GYSMOKeys) and concerts.

To promote the musical education and development of young people and to support the provision of music tuition and performance in Swindon and the surrounding area.

Running an amateur choir and arranging concerts and ancillary activities for the benefit of the choir's members and for the public benefit

The charity manages a hall erected in memory of 6 local men who gave their all during the second world war. A weekly whist evening by Committee Members. Regular hires include RAOB, 3 dance groups, and circuit training classes, brass band together with various other small groups. The hall is available for hire for other functions at other times including Saturday and Sunday.

SMADA is a parent support group supporting music at the Academy. The Group's main aim is to raise funds to support all the bands within the Academy at the various concerts, events and festivals. Assistance is also given to students with music grade examination fees, present concerts in order to support musical development and assists other local organisations in their fundraising.

A community choir based on the Herefordshire/Worcestershire border which aims to bring good quality choral music to the rural communities it serves.
