Arts Charities That specialise in Music

Kent Chamber Choir gives a series of concerts during the year, usually in Kent, to support local charities. It also promotes the art of singing by making an annual award to a young singer(s) in memory of a former member of the choir - the Kath Topping Vocal Award.

To teach Scottish Country Dancing to a high standard as laid down by the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society and to promote the enjoyment and appreciation of Scottish Country Dancing and music by holding classes and dances in and around the Exeter area.

Promote music concerts

Parish hall used by bowls, badminton, boogie bounce, keep fit and bridge clubs on regular basis. Also used for weddings, concerts, parties and presentations.

To provide training for all members and potential members. To perform and donate at charity functions.

We provide accommodation to hire for education classes, lectures, indoor sports, school trips, changing facilities for concerts, childrens parties, family celebrations, village gatherings & poling station. We also serve home-made afternoon teas to the general public on Sunday afternoons in July, August & September.

The object of the Society shall be to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of chamber music in all its aspects by the presentation of public professional recitals; and for the general purposes of such charitable bodies or for such other purposes as shall be exclusively charitable as the Committee may from time to time decide.

Monmouth Big Band exists to perform and promote the genre of big band music. It performs regularly in the Monmouth and Newport areas.

To advance the education of the general public and, in particular but not exclusively, schoolchildren in the arts by providing and assisting in the provision of classical music concerts, recitals and workshops in Devon and the surrounding areas.

The Chiltern Edge Orchestral Society meet every Tuesday evening during term time at the Sonning Common Primary School in Sonning Common, Oxfordshire. We are a group of amateurs (no audition required) who meet to play orchestral music under the direction of FaFa Jin. We study a wide range of orchestral work in a friendly, non-threatening environment, benefitting also from our professional leader.

Westbourne Orchestra is a symphony orchestra comprising 50-60 members performing at least 3 concerts each year, primarily in the Dorset area.

We are a choir of about 25 female voices. We give three or four concerts each year in and around the Reading area. Our aim is to cover a wide range of musical styles in order to access as diverse an audience as possible. The choir rehearses each week at Charvil village hall.

Teaching of Indian Classical Music

Assisting the Dean and Chapter in furthering the religious and charitable work of Chester Cathedral by supporting the spiritual life, work and worship, and maintaining, improving, adding to and repairing the fabric, fittings, furniture, ornaments, services and music.

The study and practice of choral music to foster public knowledge and appreciation through public performance. To assist and support such charitable institutions or purposes as the Choir committee shall from time to time determine.

To run a music festival for children up to the age of 18

Sedbergh Pepperpot Club Members enjoy mainly cultural events while raising funds towards music fees for local youngsters. Orchestral instruments are lent out for the annual costs of insurance cover. The Pepperpot Music Makers orchestra is an after-school activity at Sedbergh Primary School open to children from nearby schools; players in the Sedbergh Orchestra are drawn from the whole community .

To raise funds for specified local charities by means of live musical entertainment events in the Wymondham and surrounding areas. All surplus funds will be donated to the specified charities (up to 3 per annum), as chosen by the trustees at each AGM.

Education of the public in the arts of sciences of music, with particular reference to music presented by marching bands together with an element of comedy, by means of concerts and other activities to which the public has access. The Choir provides education through choral music from all periods and genres to its members and audiences alike. It aims to innovate both in choice of repertoire and delivery and to introduce new people to choral singing whilst seeking to achieve the highest possible standards of music making.

Bringing jazz excellence in performance to a local audience by promoting concerts by musicians of national and international standing. These are arranged, generally monthly, at The Everyman Theatre Studio and the Victory Club.

The Cantamus Chamber Choir is based in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire. The Choir's purpose is to further the cause of Choral Music by its study and practice and by its public performance in order to foster public appreciation of the art and science of music. The main activities are rehearsals, performances and occasional concert tours, recently in Europe.

To foster the interest in brass bands and to provide public musical entertainment.

To enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life including Arts, Crafts and Science to improve and develop conditions of rural life. To advance their education in citizenship in public questions, both national and international in music, drama and other cultural subjects, branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare.
