Arts Charities That specialise in Music

The aims of the organisation are:i. to promote and develop public education in, and the appreciation of, the art and science of musicii. to provide opportunities for people in the area of Cumbria and South West Scotland to participate in music making.iii. To put on public concerts of musiciv. To raise money for local charities through our musical activities

Promotion of an annual series of Classical Music concerts in Lampeter, for people in nearby Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire, including workshops for younger and older people. Promotion of interest and understanding of such music for all.

The trust provides an award for British actors and actresses at the start of their careers so that the person can go to the United States for one year to study American musical technique.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in the appreciation of the art and science of music in all its aspects

Promotes and stages chamber orchestra concerts which provide platform opportunities for promising young musicians both in ensemble and solo capacities. Performs some rare repertoire not often found outside London. Encourages young listeners with free admission. Provides a valuable cultural and educational service to the local community.

The choir performs a range of different songs which it performs to various groups in the local community. It does not audition for entry and the choir works hard to achieve a high standard for performance. Our two main concerts - at Christmas and in the Summer - usually raise significant sums for 3 local charities each year. As a result of the pandemic, no concerts were held in 2020 and 2021.

Making music and teaching brass instruments

The charity looks after a long standing community village hall that provides a meeting place for rural communities in West Wales. We maintain a space where the community can come together on a regular basis for coffee, music events and to raise money for local and national good causes.

THE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, PHILOMUSICA OF ABERYSTWYTH, WAS STARTED IN 1973 FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, HIGH ABILITY SCHOOL PUPILS AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY. IT REHEARSES ONCE A WEEK FOR THE TWO CONCERTS A YEAR THAT ARE PERFORMED IN THE ARTS CENTRE.

Choral Society with aim to study music in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation by provision of various musical activities, regular musical gatherings and public concerts in the district given either by members or by outside musicians. Funded by members' and patrons' subscriptions, ticket sales and occasional fund raising activities.

Gillingham Singers aim to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music, in all aspects by any means seen fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals.

TO ADVANCE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN, AND APPRECIATION OF, THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC IN ALL ITS ASPECTS BY ANY MEANS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT, INCLUDING THROUGH THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC CONCERTS AND RECITALS;

SWIPE CARRIED OUT A NUMBER OF PROJECTS OVER THE PAST YEAR FOR DISADVANTAGED YOUNG PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITIES,INCLUDING PROJECTS TO BRING DIFFERENT RACES AND FAITHS IN OUR COMMUNITY TOGETHER, PROMOTING A SHARED SENSE OF BELONGING; USING MUSIC TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY COHESION. WE WILL CONTINUE TO RAISE FUNDS TO PROMOTE THE ABOVE ACTIVITIES, THESE FUNDS ARE EITHER LOTTERY OR GOVERNMENT BASED.

The music festival runs competitive and non-competitive music classes on the second and third Saturday each November for adults and children in vocal, piano, choral and ensemble music categories.

THE SOCIETY FURTHERS THE APPRECIATION AND ENJOYMENT OF ORCHESTRAL MUSIC BY REHEARSING SUCH MUSIC AND PRESENTING CONCERTS TO THE PUBLIC, AND PROMOTES THE ART AND SCIENCE OF PRACTICAL ORCHESTRAL MUSIC-MAKING BY ORGANISING AND CONDUCTING ORCHESTRAL WORKSHOPS. THE SOCIETY ALSO FURTHERS SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE COMMITTEE SEES FIT, IN PARTICULAR BY MAKING DONATIONS.

THE CHARITY MAKES DONATIONS FOR GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES TO ORGANISATIONS HELPING EITHER CHILDREN AND THE ELDERLY, CHARITIES ASSISTING LIFE-THREATENING ILLNESSES SUCH AS CANCER, PEOPLE OF ALL AGES WITH DISABILITITES, SUPPORTING MUSICAL CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND RELIGIOUS BODIES.

Promotes the Christian faith primarily through the development of the ministry of music.The Trust makes donations to the ministry of other Christian groups and individuals, both at home and abroad. Facilitates the music ministry of the various Cambrensis groups and works with Cambrensis Productions Ltd. in arranging various Christian concerts and in the production of Christain music c.d.s

The objects of the Saffron Walden Arts Trust shall be to promote, maintain, improve and advance education, and the encouragement of the Arts, including the arts of drama, mime, dance, singing and music, for the benefit of the inhabitants of Saffron Walden and the surrounding area, and the provision in the interests of social welfare of facilities for those people.

Promotion of education of the public in the study, knowledge and appreciation the art of music and particularly the music of John Golland

The charity applies only to five small rural parishes in Somerset, Marston-Magna, Ashington, Rimpton, Chilton Cantelo and Limington. Funds are concentrated on bursaries to help pay for individual childrens instrumental music tuition. Support is also offered for individual development in dance, drama and art.

Choral Society performing 2 concerts a year.

To promote improve develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music and specifically in the art of playing the euphonium by the presentation of concerts, recitals, competitions, meetings, lectures, seminars, training courses and by the commissioning of new works of high quality for the euphonium and any other related activities.

Supporting the work of the Canolfan Gerdd William Mathias and organising musical events for the benefit of members and residents of Gwynedd and Anglesey in particular.
