THE SOCIETY FURTHERS THE APPRECIATION AND ENJOYMENT OF ORCHESTRAL MUSIC BY REHEARSING SUCH MUSIC AND PRESENTING CONCERTS TO THE PUBLIC, AND PROMOTES THE ART AND SCIENCE OF PRACTICAL ORCHESTRAL MUSIC-MAKING BY ORGANISING AND CONDUCTING ORCHESTRAL WORKSHOPS. THE SOCIETY ALSO FURTHERS SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE COMMITTEE SEES FIT, IN PARTICULAR BY MAKING DONATIONS.
