Arts Charities That specialise in Music

ExeVox is an auditioned chamber choir of approximately 24 experienced singers, under the direction of a professional musician. It performs public concerts and recitals in Exeter and the SW of England, providing informative programme notes on the music performed. It raises charitable funds by singing at concerts and other events.

To advance such charitable purposes as the trustees see fit, in particular, by providing grants. The organisation intends to focus its attention on the advancement and support of the performing arts, including but not limited to music, dance and drama,

Organises each year eight organ concerts given by both established national and international organists and those at the start of their musical career i.e Oundle for Organists, Northern Ireland International Organ Competition (NIIOC). RAISING MONEY FOR THE VILLAGE, WITH ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN, OVER 60'S AND ADULTS. SUMMER FAIR,BINGO, WHIST, FILMS CONCERTS ETC.

The object of the Society shall be to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art of music in all its aspects by arranging recitals and performances by members and by invited artistes and musical organisations.

The charity pays income at the discretion of the trustee to The British Federation of Festivals and Music, Dance and Speech in accordance with the terms of the will.

The choir provides an outlet for those who wish to sing at a high standard in a choir, and also improves their skills. It also provides the benefit of performances of music outside the usual choral repertoire for members of the public to enjoy. It also aims to make this music more accessible by gaining greater insight into the music e.g. via interviews with composers.

Basildon Hospital Radio provide an entertainment and information service to the patients, staff and visitors to the hospital. Most of our programmes are music based with our daily request shows and our weekly programme aimed at the hospital staff being the most popular. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and broadcast 24 hours per day with both live and computer-controlled programmes.

Antiphon is a small mixed chamber choir based near Hexham, Northumberland. It specialises in singing early Renaissance church music, often in the context of church services. Concerts are held in Northumberland and the choir has travelled to Italy, Belgium and France to sing in different settings.

The primary aim of Truro Hospital Radio is to relieve the stress and boredom of patients within Cornwalls Hospitals by broadcasting a lively mix of music, requests, chat and information to the patients 24 hours a day.

To advance education by establishing, promoting, equipping, organising and managing educational workshops in the promotion of the theatre of the arts and to present/promote the production of plays, variety performance concerts, dramatic and artistic performances for the public benefit.

We are a community brass band and help local community groups with their fundraising activities. We provide our members with free instruments and tuition.

The band was formed in February 2010 and aims to develop the musical skills of young people of all abilities.. To honour the life and legacy of Martin Schellenberg (1959-2021) we provide support to young musicians (up to the age of 24 years) in the West Midlands & South West of England; particularly those with a talent in voice, piano and/or organ; who make classical, operatic or jazz music. Support may take the form of a financial grant or non-financial support e.g. professional advice/mentoring.
