Arts Charities That specialise in Music

(1) TO ADVANCE AND ENCOURAGE THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN (AGES 8 AND OVER) AND ADULTS IN THE THEORY, PRACTICE AND PERFORMANCE OF MUSIC BY PROVIDING ANY OF THE FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT AND HUMAN RESOURCES WHICH ARE NECESSARY TO THIS OBJECT. (2) TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC IN ALL ITS ASPECTS.

To promote, improve, develop, encourage and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts recitals and workshops. To promote the improvement in the quality of life for people with health and social care needs through the use of personalised music as encapsulated in our Music in Care programme.

Internet radio service offering music, chat, the spoken word and helpline telephone numbers operating within the medical/health/sickness circle. Radio service aimed at the disabled/elderly/frail people. Inviting children/young people to broadcast covering the main city of Leeds Metropolitan area.

ASSISTANCE TO ALCOHOLIC YOUNG AND DRUG USERS. WE PROVIDE FOODS,TRANSPORT AND USED CLOTHES TO SOME ASYLUM SEEKERS. IN ADDITION, WE ORGANISE YOUTH RECREATIVE ACTIVITIES: MUSIC, DANCE AND SPORTS.

To advance the education and appreciation of the public in the art and science of brass band music in Usk, Monmouthshire, by enabling members of the community, particularly children, to learn to play brass instruments and providing opportunities for the playing of brass instruments.

Northburn Steelbands is a community based music organisation that provides steelpan music tuition and performance opportunities for the children,young people and adults of Cramlington, Northumberland.

The Sheldon Singers is a medium-sized chamber choir, based in Honiton, Devon. The choir is open to singers of all ages, genders and ethnic groups. Grants and sponsorship are offered to promising young persons. The choir gives two main concerts each year, in the spring and at Christmas. The free summer concerts raise money for community projects.

TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN EDUCATION AND APPRECIATION OF MUSIC, ESPECIALLY THE MORE MODERN REPERTOIRE, BY PRESENTATION OF CONCERTS ONCE A TERM (ACCORDING TO THE UNIVERSITY CALENDAR) AND BY SUCH WAYS AS THE ORCHESTRA THROUGH ITS COMMITTEE SHALL DETERMINE FROM TIME TO TIME.

Finacial assistance, especially to the young and elderly, living in the parish of Fulbourn.This can take the form of assistance with the cost of school trips, music lessons, school uniform. Or for the elderly, help with the cost of fuel bills, transport to hospital.

The charity produces concerts (usually three per year) for musicians and audiences in the West Cumbria region.

To organise a Music Festival in order to bring well-known distinguished artists to Bromsgrove for the enjoyment of all ages, and to include performances form local musical groups.

We hold around 9 free public events a year:- Talks, recitals, visits to see, hear, study & play (mostly church) organs locally, one visit to a distant major venue (fare charged). We work with schools to interest children in organs/music. We recruit members to support our work, we're affiliated to the national body, the I.A.O., which runs U.K. events & offers bursaries (www.iao.org.uk).

Concert Band

The charity operates the village hall for the benefit of the local community. It provides a base for the local art group and the Darley Dale brass Band. the local primary school uses the hall and there is also a pantomime held every year. The hall is also available for hire for birthday parties, christenings , art displays and meetings.

Promote and support the Swansea Festival of Music and the Arts, and music and the arts generally, in Swansea and the surrounding area.

West Bristol Concert Band (WBCB) is a community based concert band operating in and around Bristol. We have an emphasis on achieving high standards of musical performance through enjoyment and community.

To educate the public in the art and science of music with particular reference to the music presented and performed by brass bands by means of concerts & other activities to which members of the public shall have access.

Ardudwy and Harlech Music provides 'live' classical music in the Harlech area for the benefit of local people, and visitors, by arranging 4 lunchtime recitals and 2 evening concerts per year.

Annual competitive Music Festival held in November, children's and adult classes, for piano, instrumental and vocal, including choirs. Affiliated to the British and International Federation of Music, Dance and Speech

Kelshall Village Hall together with the Church provide the only meeting facilities in the Village. The Hall is regulary let out to Toddler Group, Keep Fit, Musicians, Family Celebrations, Parish Meeting and Fund Raising Events.

To advance education in music, particularly organ playing by providing scholarships and other assistance to organists.

Community hall used for: parish council meetings, polling station, Women's Institute, Young Farmer's Club meetings & activities including drinks, community forums, public lectures, concerts, charity fund raising.

To improve and develop conditions of rural life and to advance the education of countrywomen in citizenship in public questions both national and international in music drama and other cultural subjects also to secure instruction and training in all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare.

working for improvement of British Music Education using the voice as the main instrument, through courses, workshops and demonstrations, for teachers and other adults who work with children or adults or who wish to improve their own musicianship. Major activities include the annual Summer School, Spring Course, and certified training for teachers' professional development.
