Arts Charities That specialise in Music

Ensemble Perpetuo seeks to communicate musical knowledge and understanding to new audiences to make chamber music repertoire more accessible. It does this by performing existing chamber music in addition to commissioning new music for future generations of audiences and musicians. It undertakes public events and workshops throughout the UK.

Our four themes for grants are: wildlife particularly in Shropshire, Suffolk and Hampshire; music, specifically community music, and community arts more generally; advice and information work; end of life care and how it can be improved.We want to deliver outcomes. Our interests are projects we can learn from, less popular work, projects that might have a big impact and cross theme work.

Mereside Brass is a traditional brass band playing to the general public in and around Cheshire.

To promote musical education & experience with all ages, but mainly young people through Master classes, Festival days & concerts led by experienced adjudicators & teachers.

Indoor/outdoor children's games. table tennis, air hockey, video games, board games, football, hoops, basket ball, music, crafts, relaxing with friends. snooker pool.

THAMES friends exists to inspire young musicians in Tower Hamlets. We do this through fundraising to provide additional opportunities to make music at the THAMES Saturday Music Centre and beyond. We work to provide opportunities for children across the Borough of Tower Hamlets for music education and musical enrichment raising funds to provide the resources to support this work.

Annual Welsh speaking musical, poetry, literature and arts competition for children, young people and adults. This is held in the Village Hall at Llanegryn.

The Friends work in association with the Churches Conservation Trust (registered charity no.258612) to enable increased use of this important civic building, for any appropriate public and educational purpose. About 80 events are held in St Nicholas' Chapel each year, especially for music including King's Lynn Festival Chorus concerts and during the King's Lynn Festival in mid-July.

Building is for general use of village for meetings, jumble sales for charitable causes, play groups and music practice. Hired for childrens parties, educational lectures, polling station and local groups.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN IN MUSIC AND THE PERFORMING ARTS BY PROVIDING EDUCATION FACILITIES NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATIONAL AUTHORITY. TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION AND APPRECIATION OF MUSIC AND THE PERFORMING ARTS.

Holds meetings each month for members with a lecture. Also group meetings where members follow interests such as French, German, circle dancing, poetry, literature, local history, music, walking and reading Shakespeare and social events.

Our Club, people aged 16 and over with learning disabilities, we meet once a week at the Club Venue, where we organise a variety of activities for members, some of which we conduct ourselves, and others where we invite third party specialists to conduct for us, Dancing, Live music, Keep Fit, etc. However, we also take members out for Meals, Theatre, Discos, Pub visits, etc. Our club is for members

The Charity's current activity focusses upon the commissioning of new choral music to be sung in churches. The Trustees are developing plans to advance the education and development of young people both in the study and performance of choral music, as well for the general education and development of young people from socially or economically deprived communities.

The Armstrong Gibbs Society provides information about Armstrong Gibbs and his music for the public benefit, principally through its website, but also by responding to individual requests, usually by e-mail. It is also active in promoting performances and recordings of his music. Considerable work has also been done to prepare performing scores of hitherto unpublished music.

We play in concerts mainly in the Clitheroe area at School fetes, Town Bandstand, Weddings, Fund raising events, Marches for the Town Council.

The aim and object of our charity is the advancement of music for the public benefit in Wrexham Country Borough by staging musical performances and activities and by working with existing musical groups and providers to ensure access to music-making opportunities are available to all of the community, regardless of any age, race, religious other social or socio-economic factors.

TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN, AND AN APPRECIATION OF, THE ART AND SCIENCE OF JAZZ MUSIC IN WEST WALES BY ENCOURAGING SOCIAL INTERACTION AND UNDERSTANDING ACROSS ALL AGE GROUPS AND ABILITIES, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF ACCESSIBLE AND INCLUSIVE LIVE AND RECORDED JAZZ MUSIC PERFORMANCE AND EDUCATION.

The charity runs an annual festival of contemporary music.

Chhandam promotes, educates and engages local communities in Indian music, culture, dance, poetry and dramatics. Performed in Mahalaya show with local participation. Chhandam also participated in a some other small scale events with local interest. A big show Rays of Light in Shaw Theatre in November 2024, participating in fundraising projects, both within and outside of UK.

The relief of poverty and the advancement of education by providing access to musical instruments and music education for children under the age of 18 years where in the opinion of the Trustees such children or their parents are unable to afford such access, together with such other related initiatives for the public benefit as agreed by the Trustees in accordance with the Charity aims.

The charity (Dorset Guitar Society) promotes, improves, and maintains public education in, and appreciation of the art and science of the guitar, its music and practical techniques, by the presentation of public concerts, recitals and education workshops.

The payment bursaries to parents of children between the ages of 7 and 18 inclusive contributing to the musical life of All Saints Church, Hove to defray the expenses of musical education of any kind.
