The Mayor of Eastleigh's charity appeal raises money for different beneficiaries each year. The Mayor of Eastleigh for 2024/2025 is Councillor David Pragnell and his chosen charities are Centrestage Productions Youth Theatre and Eastleigh Operatic and Musical Society. The Mayor's Appeal for 2023/2024 raised £4000 for Citizens Advice Eastleigh.

Approximately 55 members of ages between 16 & 80 yrs make up Stourport Choral. The choir performs concerts in a wide range of musical styles from light to serious opera, classical to modern choral & including music from popular shows. This friendly group's commitment is to provide live quality entertainment in a socially active atmosphere. We rehearse each Wed at 7.30pm, at Areley Kings Hall

The Music Troupe exists for the advancement of the arts through the promotion and presentation of classical music, in particular, but not limited to, new works and small-scale opera for the benefit of the general public.

COMMISSIONING AND PRODUCING OPERA, PROVIDING TRAINING IN OPERA PRODUCTION, IN COLLABORATION WITH PARTNER VENUES

Raises funds and makes donations in support of the activities of principally Les Azuriales Opera Festival, including its Young Artist Programme, and secondly other organisations who are working to increase the accessibility to, improvement of standards in, assist young performers training for and provide education in relation to, opera

To foster and promote the education of the general public in the appreciation of music in all its aspects, and to co-operate with local authorities, educational institutions and cultural Societies relating to the practice, presentation and study of music, in order inter alia, to promote better and more widespread performances of instrumental work choral work and opera

The Friends organise a programme of free events for the public which includes:- Sunday afternoon concerts - Annual Funday - An opera night - Twice monthly Community cafe- Monthly gardening in the park- Events attract between 100 - 1000 attendees

Weekend rehearsals of operatic and symphonic repertoire

To promote the performance of live drama and music, especially amongst the young people, in South Lincolnshire.

Presents Grand Opera over three nights once per year.

We sing opera, operettas and other light classical music to the general public.

Adult Musical Threat performing shows for all, twice a year. We also perform concerts for local groups , for example in retirement and care homes and at public events, such a community fetes and Pride events. Fundraising and social activities

The trust is for the advancement of education of the public in the art of opera and is devoted to raising funds and overseeing their application for the benefit of the English National Opera Company.

Outland Opera was founded in 2021 to provide site-specific performances to people living in rural locations, where opera is not normally performed. Outland works with local people to create its work, which is based on local and regional history.

The object of the Society is to educate the public in the dramatic and operatic arts, and in particular the Savoy operas, to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts, to assist and further such charitable institutions and charitable purposes as the Committee shall from time to time determine.

To promote and perform concerts and theatrical musical shows for the entertainment of the general public. From the proceeds, when monies allow, donations are made to other charitable bodies.

Harlekin Studio Opera is a community opera project focusing on providing education in music, opera and allied art forms to each and every person who would like to learn, regardless of previous experience or personal circumstance. Serving the local community this will provide a safe place for individuals to grow in confidence and self-knowledge as a valued team member.

To cultivate the Dramatic and Operatic Arts and improve and educate the public taste in those arts.By performing fully staged and orchestrated operas/operettas each year in the Windsor/Eton/Maidenhead area.

OPERATIC & DRAMATIC PRODUCTIONS

To honour the life and legacy of Martin Schellenberg (1959-2021) we provide support to young musicians (up to the age of 24 years) in the West Midlands & South West of England; particularly those with a talent in voice, piano and/or organ; who make classical, operatic or jazz music. Support may take the form of a financial grant or non-financial support e.g. professional advice/mentoring.
