Arts Charities That specialise in Orchestra

The South Cheshire Orchestra provides facilities for amateur musicians to gain orchestral experience regardless of age and ability. It aims to educate both the members and the public in the art and benefits of music through the presentation of public concerts, often for charitable causes external to itself.

Amateur orchestra

The Trust was established to assist The Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestral Society with concert expenses whilst promoting the art of music. The normal Modus Operandi is for the Orchestra to contact the Trust when it is in need of assistance and for the Trustees then to consider that request sympathetically and make a grant at their discretion.

Five rehearsals followed by fund raising concert

To promote and stimulate public interest in the performance and writing of music and to encourage those members of the public who have musical gifts to cultivate them

To advance the musical education of young people of East Herts by providing and assisiting in the provision of facilities for the Area Groups and Orchestras organised by the East Herts Music Centres.To raise money to help finance the Area Groups and Orchestras rehearsals, courses, concerts and tours.

Presenting public orchestral concerts in Hitchin and the surrounding area, to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of orchestral music in all its aspects.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts, and by such other ways as the Society shall determine from time to time.

To perform classical music in North Essex and Suffolk, bringing music to as wide an audience as possible.

To give support to the Maidstone Orchestral Society in furthering the performing arts in the field of music making

We run a weekly tuck shop for the children attending orchestra rehearsals. We raise funds at orchestra concerts via ticket sales/raffles. We accept donations and sometimes apply for relevant grants.

The object of the charity is to provide the advancement of education in music and subjects related thereto, of members of the orchestra and others. In order to achieve these objectives the charity holds fund raising activities of all kinds, sponsor concerts, rehearsals and courses, award prizes, bursaries and scholarships, assist in the provision of facilities, musical instruments and equipment.

Annual activities include the mounting of a Senior Citizens Party, a free Fireworks Display, a Youth Orchestra Concert, an outing for Special Needs Children, a fund-raising Classic Car Rally, relief for International disasters and other small donations to deserving causes.

Providing a playing platform and professional development opportunities for emerging professional players. Projects aimed at engaging with new audiences and taking orchestral music and outreach into disadvantaged areas.

TO PROMOTE , IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN AND APPRECIATION OF THE ART AND SCIENCE OF STEEL ORCHESTRAL MUSIC IN ALL ITS ASPECTS BY THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC ORCHESTRAL CONCERTS.

Running of a youth orchestra and concert band for young people performing about 6 concerts a year

We run a youth orchestra in Maldon Essex which aims to give all musicians regardless of age or ability the opportunity to make music together.

Promote and raise funds for the Midland Youth Jazz Orchestras

promote the efficiency and effectiveness of charities in particular by coordinating the administrative arrangements of the work of TRH in their capacity as patron of charities and by paying the expenses properly incurred by TRH and to advance such other charitable purposes as the Trustees shall decide by making grants to other charities with a preference for institutions of which TRH are patron.

Cambridge Philharmonic operates as a choir and an orchestra performing music at concerts to the general public across Cambridgeshire and occasionally in other venues. The choir and orchestra sometimes perform separately but mainly in conjunction. Cambridge Philharmonic is committed to music for all and this is reflected in its repertoire and concerts specifically designed for children.

To advance musical education among young people and to foster the knowledge and appreciation of the art of music in all its aspects. To this end we hold regular programmes of rehearsals and training sessions leading to public concerts and recitals.
