RAISING FUNDS FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE BRIGHTON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA

Supporting the Education & Community Dept of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Developing emerging talent, taking music to areas of Wales where, through economic or geographical reasons, it may have limited facilities. Offering the first chance to hear/participate with orchestral musicians.

Provided training in orchestral playing for children from poor backgrounds by providing staff and other teaching resources, providing musical equipment and the opportunity to participate in musical events. Provided benefit to over 1000 children from 11 primary schools in the London Borough of Islington, from two hubs based at Highbury Grove and Islington Arts and Media School.

Promotion of music education and to promote concerts featuring the English Chamber Orchestra and as further set out in the Trustees report

Since 2007 The Walbrook Music Trust has staged 5 major series of 37 orchestral and choral concerts & over 300 platform recitals, all at no charge, on Tuesdays at 1pm in the Church of St Stephen Walbrook London, establishing a tradition of high quality performance to audiences of up to 250. The concerts have featured The Handel Collection orchestra, a large no of choirs, organists & recitalists.

Support for members of Surrey County Youth Orchestra, in particular funding specialist music not available through standard SCC financing. Subsidising members for activities such as touring.

The Thames Chamber Orchestra Ltd promotes and performs classical music in the London and throughout the UK. The orchestra is keen to support other charities wherever possible and our concerts have been successful in raising funds for several organisations.

To advance the charitable activities of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra by providing or assisting in the provision of resources by which the orchestra may undertake activities of a musical education not financed by national or local authorities and to further other charitable purposes directed at improving the public taste and appreciation of the art of music.

Providing the opportunity for young people to come and hear Big Band Music and learn to play jazz in participation with other musicians, through weekly rehearsals in Central London and workshops in schools throughout the U.K.WEF 1.4.19, such activities have passed to sister charity, The National Youth Jazz Orchestra Limited (274578) and activity within this charity has ceased.

The charity is established to advance the musical education of the members of the orchestra; to develop more extended relationships between members, staff and parents; to engage in activities which support the orchestra and advance the musical education of its members; to provide and assist in the provision of facilities for musical education in the orchestra.

The Llanrwst Chamber Music Society, an educational and cultural organisation, is a small charity devoted to promoting instrumental string music among amateurs. Two to four times a year it holds residential weekend courses at venues in North Wales and Powys, for a maximum of eight quartets, or a string orchestra, which receive coaching in their prepared works from professional musicians.
