Under the banner of the National Federation of Women's Institutes, Poringland Institute provides educational and recreational activities for women within Poringland and the surrounding villages. We also provide support to community activities in the area.

the Cambois Community Association was set up in 1996 to try to improve the quality of life for everyone that lives in or around the exmining village of Cambois

Organise various activities for village residents some fund raising some activities subsidised by Baycliff Community Association. Also B.C.A. Funds raised are used for the upkeep of the village park and it's equipment plus some events around the village.
